Illamasqua eyebrow cake
Illamasqua are a firm favorite with me and my collection keeps growing and growing since I started collecting the brand over a year ago. Illamasqua have a vast selection of makeup to choose from and not only that they bring out the most gorgeous collections every now and again which look absolutely stunning and its no wonder why my collection keeps growing.

  • 6 shades to choose from (I choose motto which is a warm taupe)
  • Can be used alone, with water or with illamasqua setting gel
  • Helps define the brows
  • Can be used to natural to defined brows
  • Cruelty Free

Finish and Lasting power
I always use something on brows to define them and this seemed like the perfect choice for me, the application of this was very simple to get a natural look and more defined using water. I just love how it applies and looks very natural with only a small amount you get such an amazing brow. I use the real techniques eyebrow brush to get my brows looking perfect. Would I say its the best I have tried? well in my opinion yes because its so long lasting and the shade matches perfectly for me so worth every penny.

My verdict
My verdict is that this is amazing and even though the price is steep at £15.50 its defiantly worth the price tag as its long lasting and looks beautiful all day long weather the look you want is natural or a more defined look. I would for sure buy this again in future and I am even thinking about getting this is more shades in the near future.

Have you tried Illamasqua eyebrow cake before?

Why I decided to be Muslim

As many of you lovely people know  I am Muslim so I have decided to share my story on my journey on reverting to Islam. Growing up, my family  had been Jehovah's witnesses and we were very involved with the kingdom hall as we attended quite a few days a week there and I admit, we were the people who went door to door to share the religion and this was part of our lives for many years until I decided that I did not believe in it and really did not like spending so much of my time involved in something that I just didn't believe in. This led to many years of my teenage life being atheist, even though deep down I knew there has to be something.

This all changed for me when I went on a local school trip at 14 year old to a Mosque in Blackburn. The mosque was very welcoming and they taught us all their basic belief and while I was there I felt at peace and I just loved the whole atmosphere; Even though I did not revert to Islam when I was 14 I did  think about it for a few years to come, but had no idea how to find out more information as my town had no mosque what so ever. I learnt as much as I could buy purchasing a Quran from a bookshop in my town.

A few years later at the age of 20, after learning a bit more about Islam I decided to revert to be Muslim. I took the Shahada(testimony of faith) with my husband holding my hand and I must admit it was one of the most beautiful days of my life and it really completed me. Ever since that day I won't say I am the most religious person in the world but I do love being Muslim and I read the Quran as much as possible and pray 5 times most days. I have got to learn a few things such as Arabic which i am doing most days and one day I will know it Inshallah.

So what have I learnt being Muslim?
  • Islam is peaceful and has so much charity to help people in need.
  • There's  5 pillars of Islam - Salah ( the 5 daily prayers) Zakat ( Giving 2.5% of of overall wealth/year to the poor and needy) Sawm ( Ramadan - a yearly one month event in which a Muslim fasts, kinda like a yearly service spiritually) Hajj ( Visting Mecca at least once in our lifetime if possible) and taking the testimony of faith( ''La ilaha il - Allah Muhammadur-rasool- Allah'', which means '' There is no true God but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of God'').
  • Appreciate family - the Quran teaches so much about your family and to take care of ones parents and to look after them, I really think that is super important and means so much to me.
  • Being a woman makes you strong and equal - with the media and many other views you would think being a Muslim women would mean oppression but it couldn't be any further from the truth, there is a whole chapter of the Quran dedicated to women and its called ' An-Nisaa' .

I am happy to answer any question too ♥

Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation

Illamasqua rich liquid foundation review
I have never been one to buy expensive foundation but a few months back I got a discount code for my birthday so I decided to treat myself and buy myself a premium foundation and eventually chose Illamasqua rich liquid foundation after trying it at my local Illamasqua counter in Debenhams.

I have always been tempted by the Illamasqua foundations as every time I see Illamasqua post anything on social media everyone looks so flawless almost photo shopped I really wondered could a foundation give me these results so they was only one way to find out and that was to spend £30 on this foundation and find out the results for myself.

Illamasqua rich liquid foundation swatch
  • 12 shades in the rich liquid foundation ( I use 140)
  • Loved my Makeup Artists
  • Long lasting coverage without feeling heavy
  • It blends easily and hides problem areas easily
  • Cruelty Free
  • Premium product

 Finish and Lasting power

Applying this foundation was very to other foundations I have in my collection as this is so much thicker so I used my beauty blender to get an even coverage on my skin and with that it worked wonderfully. I have tried using a makeup brush with applying this foundation but the ones I have don't apply this foundation as well as my beauty blender does. The look of this foundation is quite beautiful to be honest and makes such a difference to my skin and gives my skin a natural looking glow and without being heavy so it was easy to wear all day and most of all it lasts all day with the help of a primer. I have had this foundation for a few months now and I use it most days and I still have loads left of this product.

Overall I am very pleased with this product and I am very happy that I have it in my makeup collection, the only 2 slight problems I have with this foundation is 1; the price, its a bit steep for a foundation but saying that it is a premium product and really does look beautiful and 2; its not the easiest to blend so I suggest using something like a beauty blender. After that its a worth while product and will continue to use to make me feel beautiful.

Have you tried Illamasqua foundation before?

Till next time

Best of Makeup Revolution

Best of Makeup Revolution

I just had to write this post as I have been collecting Makeup Revolution Makeup for a few months I thought it was the perfect time to share my favorites from this beautiful and affordable brand. I first heard about Makeup Revolution after finding out about the brand on other beauty blogs, I must admit I was a bit reluctant at first to try the brand but I am so glad I bought a haul of products to give the brand a fair review and actually have a insight on how well the makeup works.

Makeup Revolution  was brought out last year and ever since then the popularity and the growth of the brand is massive. They offer a wide a range of makeup from foundations to nail polishes and with prices starting at a £1 they are an absolute steal for the quality of the product. My favorite thing they sell has to be the eye shadows as they are about £6 and have loads of shades in the palette.

My Top 5 Makeup Revolution Makeup

Sugar and Spice Palette I just love this palette as it has a gorgeous choice of blushers and 2 highlighters to choose from too! they is one for nearly every day of the week. They are very pigmented and long lasting and go so well with the highlighters that are included in this palette.

Colour Choas Palette I am quite a fan of bright eye shadows and I have always wanted the urban decay electric palette  but I just thought it was a bit expensive at nearly £40! so I think the makeup revolution colour chaos palette is the perfect dupe and has beautifully pigmented shades.

Blushing Hearts Blusher  I just love the look of this blusher and reminds me a lot of Too Faced heart shaped blusher but of course for a fraction of the price at only £4.99. This blusher is so long lasting and is an icy pink which goes so well with so many makeup looks.

Golden Lights Highlighter Every time I use a blusher I always finish off the blusher by applying highlight just above the jaw bone and it gives a subtle contoured look effortlessly. The look of the highlighter is kinda like a subtle sparkle effect.

Lipstick in Depraved  I never knew I would ever like a purple lipstick but ever since using this lipstick I just love it and its been my favorite lipstick from makeup revolution so far!

What are favorites from Makeup Revolution?

After 6 months subscribed to the vegan kind you get a ring binder so you can collect all the recipe cards they send every month.

This banana powder is from organic bananas and has super nutrients. This can be used in smoothies, milkshakes or on top of desserts.

CoFresh Sour Cream and Chive Quinoa Chips 80g (RRP £1.79) Now I must admit I just love crisps and have them most days and admit I was a bit on the fence with trying these but wow they are amazing and taste so amazing I can't to buy more. These chips are made by Quinoa flour rather then potatoes and the best thing about Quinoa is that it is a super food.

White Rabbit Skincare Toning Eye Cream 15ml (RRP £8.00) I have a lip balm by white rabbit skincare and it works wonders so I am very happy to get this in this months box, I will be adding this to my skincare regime every morning.

FitBites 50g (RRP £2.30) Never tried this before but they do look very interesting. These are made with 100% natural ingredients, organic, raw, this a ideal healthy snack.

Makeup Revolution - Girls On Film Palette

makeup revolution salvation girls on film palette
When I first seen the brand Makeup Revolution I just knew I would just love their makeup. Ever since I got my first haul a few months back, my collection has grown vastly and my love for the brand keeps on growing as everything is so affordable and most of all they work fantastically well and work like a much more expensive brand too. The only problem I had was actually which makeup palette to add to my collection as they are so many to choose from and they have new ones coming out every so often its just all so exciting.
makeup revolution salvation girls on film palette
  • 12 shimmer eye shadows and 6 matte eye shadows (perfect for glamour to smokey eye looks)
  • Has a mirror so its great fro travel and easy to carry in your handbag ( I think palette mirrors are great to apply eye makeup precisely)
  • Salvation have 5 palettes to collect ( the others look great too can't wait to get them too)
  • Affordable at £6! for 18 eye shadows (for this price its a bargain as most palettes even cheaper ones are £2 just for one shadow
  • Versatile ( I use this palette as eye shadow and also use it to draw on my eyebrows)

makeup revolution girls on film swatches
Finish and lasting power
For me the favorite thing about this palette its such a neural palette perfect for everyday wear, with its glamours selection of shades they all blend together beautifully. Blending this eye shadows together was effortless and didn't take to much more application than my too faced chocolate palette which cost considerably more. With any eye shadow I would recommend wearing an  eye shadow primer to make the eye shadow last that extra bit longer as this works so much better with a primer before hand but all in all looks fabulous and lasts about 6 hours.
Makeup revolution girls on film palette
Is it worth it? of course! for £6 what can you get now that is brilliant quality and has so many in one palette. It may not have the staying power of a more expensive brand but that can be easily fixed with eye primer so  that problem is solved. I really like this palette a long with the others I have that I will definatley be adding more to my collection of makeup revolution palettes.

Have you tried Makeup Revolution yet?

Lush's Toothy Tabs || Breath Of God

lush's breath of god toothy tabs
Every time I have went  to Lush in the past I have always bought stuff that is either for the bath or for my hair until one day I decided to step away from the bubble bars and to have a look at other products and that's when I found out about toothy tabs

- Quirky design- for me they are so much more different  than other tooth pastes I think it gives this an advantage and makes it stand out as a new way of brushing teeth.
- 7 flavours to choose from with equally brilliant names such as chou chou I love you and sparkle.
- Less waste - This box is very easily recycled and that means less rubbish in a land fill.
Affordable - even though a bit more expensive then commercial toothpastes this is still a great price at £2.50
Texture and Taste
For me it took a bit of getting used to as I am so used to putting tooth paste onto my toothbrush its hard to start chewing a toothy tab but eventually it got easier and now I am 100% used to the idea of using the toothy tabs. Breath of God has sandalwood, fair trade fennel powder and fair trade vanilla powder and for myself personally I don't think that combination goes particularly well but saying that it was very bearable and left my teeth feeling squeaky clean.

Even though the taste wasn't to my liking I do still love toothy tabs as they are very different from whats on the market now and they really work wonders on cleaning teeth. I am pleased with the toothy tabs and will continue to use them because they go beyond expectation and do a wonderful job at keeping my teeth clean. I think a good bonus of these is they have so much less waste than other toothpastes and that means better for the environment, as not only is this box recycled it can be recyled too so they is 0 waste as all which is just great.

Have you ever tried Lush's Toothy Tabs before?

January Favorites

Just hold on a minute where on earth did January go? it seems like yesterday since I did my boxing day shopping going nuts in Lush buying nearly everything in the shop and before I knew its now its February! its just madness but that means we are a bit closer to Spring and warmer weather and less of the cold and short days.
January was such a cold month and had so much snow and ice, that I am kinda glad its over now and spring is round the corner, I can see the snowdrops and daffodils are starting to grow again yay!

Boujois bronzer and highlighter - I just love this combination and makes such a beautiful natural look and also an effortless contoured look too but not to over the top just subtle, just love this.

Barry M - Lash Vegas Mascara  - I was very pleasantly surprised by this mascara, its makes such a difference to my lashes and I don't feel the need to wear false lashes while wearing this mascara which is great!

Illamasqua Lipstick in Cherub  - I am very picky when it comes to lipsticks and I think its one of the main reasons I have over 40 lipsticks now as I can't choose a favorite but saying that I just love Cherub its a warm coral shade in a satin finish and its just an everyday shade that looks beautiful.

Barry M Nail Paint in Persian  - Barry M are my favorite nail polish brand and I just had to choose Persian as this months favorite nail polish as its such a gorgeous purple and was a dream to apply and long lasting without chipping!!

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cherry - This is a such a time saver for me as I wash my hair every other day, this dry shampoo helps my locks looking as fabulous as possible everyday and I just love its scent very me indeed.

What are your January Favorites?

Apple Pie Smoothie Recipe

apple pie smoothie
I have had the Nutri bullet for months now but I haven't used it for absolutely ages and its been hidden in my cuboard since the summer when I first bought it. I know its terrible what a waste, but the main thing is its out of my cupboard now and I will be using it more often now and trying to make more smoothie combinations and sharing more recipes with you all.
I am trying to loose a bit of weight and tone up a bit more so I have decided to try get more fruit and vegetables in my diet, I know 5 a day is enough and I already get that but  I really tend to want to have like 7-10 portions of fruit and vegetables seeing as I am vegan and the fact I enjoy fruit and vegetables so much .

  • half a cup of Almond Milk
  • 1 tea spoon of Almond butter
  • 1 small organic apple
  • 2 bananas
  • 3 heaped tablespoons of oats
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

The nutriblend was brilliant and made making this smoothie look easy and even for me I found it easy to use and has very clear instructions in the manual . The smoothie was smooth like yogurt consistency and easy to drink and was not time consuming.
So pleased with the outcome with this smoothie and it tasted divine and it filled me up for lunch time and I didn't go snack like I usually do. This smoothie tasted a lot like an apple pie but a lot  healthier obviously but I must admit it tasted so lovely I will have to make it again soon.

What is your favorite smoothie?

Barry M - Lash Vegas Mascara

Barry M Lash Vegas Mascara
Barry M have launched 3 new mascaras to their collection and they are called Lash Vegas, I for one just love the name as I just love Las Vegas and would love to go one day! I just had to buy one as soon as I seen it, I was lucky it was in my local Superdrug and I got Barry M products buy one get one half price. I just love the design and was pleasantly surprised that it was only £6.49 so super affordable for everyone.
Barry M Lash Vegas Mascara Brush
They is different formulations in each of the Barry M Lash Vegas mascaras, but I choose the waterproof version as it seems to always rain or snow at the moment. The mascara is quite light weight and does not weigh my lashes down but saying that they is a big difference with the mascara. The brush is a shape I haven''t seen quite a lot but its great for applying mascara effortlessly and I was surprised how easily it applied to my lashes without making my lashes stick together.
Barry M is a brand I have always come back too because it is cruelty free and vast amount of the products they have to offer are vegan too, but the main thing is the quality of the products they have is second to none for the price they are amazing. Lash Vegas is very long lasting without the flaking and I have wore it for the past week and I am very pleased with the results and will continue to use it. It may sound silly but I really do feel like a million dollars with this mascara so its money well spent for me and the name is perfect for the quality and look of the mascara.
