NutriBullet Review

nutribullet review
Hi Lovelies
I got my NutriBullet 600 watt motor: last August for my birthday last year off my husband. We bought it off the nutribullet website for £99 with a one year warranty included. The Nutribullet is available off a few websites such as littlewoods, amazon etc.
the nutribullet review
So whats included ?
  • 1 Base
  • 1 Extractor blade
  • 1 Milling blade
  • 1 Tall cups
  • 2 Short cups
  • 1 Handled lip ring
  • 1 Regular lip ring
  • 2 resealable lids
  • Users manuel
  • Recipe book

Why I bought the Nutribullet
I personally got the NutriBullet for myself at first. I had seen it so many times on the shopping channels and after not much time I finally gave in and treated myself. The main reason I bought this was to help me loose weight and have a healthier diet and using it so far so good. I use this everyday and have a smoothie for breakfast.

First impressions
I love the design of this and think it looks very modern and for me it fits very well in my retro kitchen which is great, so  I have it on show instead of putting it in the cupboard. The Nutribullet is a little nosier then expected but it blends fruit and so many other things with ease and makes the smoothest smoothies I have ever tasted, it reminds me a lot like innocent smoothies.

What do I use the NutriBullet for?
The most obvious thing I make is smoothies but I have used it for a few other things before such as blending fruits for my cakes and making desserts too as its the perfect machine to get fruit etc smooth. I have read you can make soups with this but I haven't tried that yet but I will do in the near future so keep an eye out for that.

Is it easy to clean?
Thankfully yes! its very simple to clean and no ingredients get stuck to the cups or the blades they wash off very easily with a little bit of soap and water and the blades aren't sharp to clean unlike my old smoothie make I had, I used to dread cleaning that.

What about recipes?
The nutribullet has many recipes included in the recipe book included with this, but honestly after you use it for a few times its very simple to make up your own smoothies, I have done that everyday now and really enjoy having a different smoothie everyday. They is also loads of recipes online and I have some on my blog too.

nutribullet smoothies
My Verdict
I just adore my beauty blender and can't imagine my kitchen without it as I just love a fruity start to my day. I just love the fact its so easy to use and easy to clean and as for making different smoothies everyday, it just does it effortlessly. The only slight problem is the noise as it sounds so much louder at home compared to what it does on the TV, but saying that it doesn't make me love it any less, I am very pleased to have got this for my birthday.

5 Things I Love About Blogging

5 Things I have learned about blogging
 Hi Lovelies
I have been blogging for well over a year now and the magic of blogging has definatley not worn off for me over that time, if anything the love of blogging has just grown day by day and I have learnt so much along the way and improved so much on my blog and not only that outside my blog  as well.

1: The Blogging Community -  I am not joking here but honestly most bloggers I have talked to either on twitter or any other social media are just so kind and are amazing for confidence boosting and even advice. I found the best places to talk to other bloggers is on the blog chats or just leaving a nice comment on their blog has led to conversations, its nice to share positive vibes.

2: Inspiration Everywhere - I have tried new things because of blogging such as trying to make new recipes or making new things with crafts, I never thought I could but because of seeing so much inspiration I have the confidence to try make new foods and designing and sewing my own projects. Inspiration for is everywhere from magazines, tv to going shopping.

3: The space to be yourself - I like to regard my blog as place I write my own person views and I like to share my views with everyone, in other words my blog is kinda like my own diary but with loads of beauty, fashion and yankee candles.

4: Starting New Hobbies and Restarting Old Ones - I have always loved knitting and sewing but I haven't done it in a few years but I am starting to again now after seeing so much inspiration out their, its just made me want to restart my old hobby and gave me confidence to believe I can do it, even if I do make mistakes to start with its fine you can restart.

5. Writing - What would a blog be without writing? of course I really enjoy writing its such a hobby of mine that I love to write every night on my blog its an amazing pass time and its something to look back on as a great achievement.

What do you love most about blogging?

Banana Bliss Breakfast Smoothie

Banana Bliss Breakfast Smoothie Recipe
Banana Bliss Breakfast Smoothie ( Vegan)

I just love having a smoothie every more and have had a smoothie everyday most days now, its part of my healthier routine and I just love how refreshing they make me feel in the morning and not only that they are so much more filling then breakfast cereals.

For every smoothie I make I try get a much fruit and fiber as possible into it to make my start to the day as good as possible. This is a blend of bananas, pineapple, oats ,yogurt and water, a beautiful and tropical way to start the day.
Banana Bliss Breakfast Smoothie Recipe
  • 2 Ripe bananas ( They taste so much sweeter)
  • Half a cup of frozen pineapple
  • 30g of rolled oats
  • Strawberry and banana alpro yogurt
  • Half a cup of water
  • Teaspoon of maple syrup (optional)

  • Pour the frozen pineapple into the smoothie cup and wait about 10 minutes so they are soft enough but just cold enough to make the smoothie chilled.
  • Slice the 2 bananas into sections, ripe bananas work best with this smoothie as they are a lot sweeter and they is no need to add sugar to this recipe then.
  • Measure out 30g grams of rolled oats and scoop them over the ingredients in the smoothie maker
  • Add the yogurt to the top of the oats, I used the strawberry and banana alpro yogurt.
  • Pour the water over the top of that and blend for about 30 seconds until the smoothie is complexly smooth
  • Enjoy !!

What is your favorite smoothie?

Lush Hoppity Poppity

Lush Hoppity Poppity Review

I bought his a few weeks back in my Lush Easter Haul and only just got round to reviewing it. I couldn't resist getting this bunny as its part of the lush Easter range. Nothing says Easter better than then the Easter bunny! I love treating myself every now and again to Lush bath products as they are the perfect treat and usually help me relax after a long day, so instead of an Easter egg this year I got hoppity poppity which is £2.50.

Hoppity Poppity is fizzy with popping candy with a blend of lime, lavender and violet leaf absolute. The scent of this is beautiful and is so much stronger then other bath products from Lush and we all know lush products have quite a strong but lovely scent. This fizzed away really nicely in my bath but the slight disappointment for me was it made my bath such a light pink, I was expecting a bit more then that as most bath products from lush I have used before have made my bathes so colourful. Its not as moisturizing as other bath products I have tried either but it did make me smell like violet for a day which is a beautiful scent.

I wouldn't say its my favorite product from lush but it does smell lovely and bunny design is quite cute too, its just shame its not as moisturizing as other bath products from lush.

Have you tried anything from the Lush Easter Range?

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

The real techniques miracle complexion sponge review
the real techniques miracle complexion sponge review
Hi Lovelies
I really loved my beauty blender but I thought its price tag was a tad to much for me to get again as I got in a birchbox a few months ago so I decided to look for an equally brilliant foundation and concealer sponge and eventually I found the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge which I found in my local boots shop for an affordable price of £5.99.

The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge has a 3 in 1 surface unlike the beauty blender which is a simple teardrop shape. It has rounded sides to blend large areas of the face, a flat edge for contours around the eyes and nose and a precision tip for covering blemishes and imperfections.

I use this with my liquid foundations and apply a small amount directly on the part of the sponge were I am going to apply the makeup and it only uses a small amount to get an even complexion compared to using a foundation brush which takes me a little bit longer. I blend the foundation in an upwards motion in a circular hand movements to get an even complexion and then I apply my concealer in a circular movement using the flat edge of the sponge to cover my dark circles to brighten up my eyes.

I have combination skin and found this very smooth to apply foundation and did not leave my skin feeling irritated. It covered my dark circles and made my foundation look that extra bit brighter as the foundation is applied evenly with this.

I struggle with foundation brushes as I find they waste quite a bit of foundation and that is why I loved my beauty blender, but now I have found this I can't fault it at all, its gives me an even complexion effortlessly for a fraction of the price. This sponge lasts for  3 months before needing replaced and needs washed  every 2 - 3 washes, I use makeup revolution brush cleaner and that works pretty well at cleaning the sponge.

Have you tried any brushes from the Real Techniques Range?

Chocolate Banana Bread Recipe

Chocolate Banana Bread Recipe
Chocolate Banana Bread Recipe
Serves: 12

I just love making banana bread and have been mixing up this recipe for a while now and have made a few variations but this one has to be my favorite has to be this one as it has beautiful blend of chocolate and banana - perfect with a cup of tea.

We all deserve a treat and this cake is just perfect with just simple ingredients and is also simple to make.  I made this banana bread with most ingredients found in the kitchen cupboard but others can be subbed with alternatives.

Chocolate Banana Bread Recipe

For the bread

  • 2 Ripe Bananas
  • 140g self raising flour
  • 120g castor sugar
  • 140g Butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 4 tea spoons of choc shot (can use cocoa powder)

For the topping

  • 60g of icing sugar
  • a swirl of choc shot (can use chocolate sauce)

  1. Preheat the oven on gas mark 180 then grease the loaf tin with butter, I use kitchen roll to grease the loaf tin.
  2. Mash two bananas into a mixing bowl until smooth, then add the flour, caster sugar, eggs and butter to the bowl then mix with a whisk- while still whisking add the cinnamon and the chocolate sauce till a smooth cake consistency.
  3. Put the mixture in the loaf tin then put it into the over for about 30-35 minutes until the top of the load goes a golden brown shade. Once ready leave to cool for about 40 minutes.
  4. For the icing put the icing sugar into a bowl then add a teaspoon at a time to get a thick yet enough to run consistency.
  5. Drizzle the icing on top of the loaf and do the same again with the chocolate sauce to finish of the loaf.
  6. ENJOY :D this cake goes beautifully with a coffee or as a treat can be enjoyed with whipped cream or ice cream.

My Everyday Skincare Routine

Hi lovelies
Before blogging I must admit I didn't usually care about skincare at all and sometimes I even forgot to take my makeup at night, but that has changed so much since blogging as I read into the benefits of skincare such as moisurers and eyecreams then it dawned on me what my nana used to always tell me about the importance of looking after my skincare and after a long think I realized the importance of caring for my skin  and that is when I thought of which products to use and their benefits. After nearly a year I can say I am comfortable with my skincare and have a great routine and I can really see its helped my skin.

Steps I take everyday
Day Time Routine.
  1. When I wake up in the morning the first thing I do is do my wudu which washes my face and wakes me up and refreshes me for the start of the day everyday.
  2. I then cleanse my skin with Dr Jart cleansing foam which removes all makeup if any is left on my skin and and any other impurities on my skin. I massage it all over my face and then leave it on my face for around 3-5 minutes then wash it off with warm water.
  3. Then I apply Superdrug Vitamin E Moisturizer which is rich in natural vitamin E, high in antioxidants and defends against environmental damage. I apply this all over my face which is a lightly scented mosituriser to my face and then apply my makeup for the day.

Night time Routine.
  1. Just before I go to bed at night I take  my makeup off with B. Pure Micellar Water which takes off my makeup with ease while at the same time it tones the skin and leaves my skin feeling refreshed.
  2. I then add about 5 drops of ESPA Optimal Skin Proserum onto my fore, checks, chin and neck and massage into my skin until its absorbed into the skin. This serum benefits from Omega 3,6 and 9 with added vitamin A and E, all these together with over natural ingredients it helps brighten my skin and makes me feel wonderful.
  3. After that I use Superdrug Naturally radiant eyecream which I apply under my eyes gently in a circular motion. I use eye cream for helping to reduce my dark circles and my eye area more energized and I can see a massive reduction of my dark circles  and I couldn't be with my eye creams now haha.
  4. My final step for my face is applying Superdrug Vitamin E Leave on mask which helps against premature skin ageing and is full of vitamins A,B,H and F which helps to help for dry skin which is a massive benefit for myself.
Another thing I usually do everyday is apply YesNurse Handcream every morning and every night before I go to bed as this cream helps keep my hands soft stops them getting dry. This cream benefits from vitamins and omegas in this cream.

My skincare routine works wonderfully on me and my skin is combination skin and can be quite sensitive at times. It took me a while to see what worked for my skin but after testing a few products for a few months and they work best on my skin type. For now these have to be my favorites as they all do their jobs wonderfully and make my skin feel soft and make my skin look so much brighter.

What is your skincare regime?
