Lush The Kiss Lip Scrub | Review

lush the kiss lip scrub
The Kiss?...

Hi Lovelies
Lush make some absolutely spectacular products from bath products, skincare and makeup and so far I have just loved all of their lip scrubs I have tried. I was pretty much sold on this lip scrub because I just loved the name 'The Kiss' and it matched quite nicely with the Valentine's Day collection, not only that inside of it has little hearts which is darn cute. ( they are edible too).

Lip scrubs are literally a must have to anyones makeup collection, they are great for keeping your lips soft and moisturised and another reason is they make matte or liquid  lipsticks last that extra bit longer. I remember applying liquid/matte lipsticks before using a lip scrub and it was so much dryer and cracked and looked dry before long, lip scrubs took care of that and keep my lipsticks looking smooth and easier to apply.

First Impressions
I just had to get this because I love pink and the fact it had red hearts inside just made 'switch on' in my brain to actually get this. I love trying different seasonal products because they aren't available all year round. I didn't not want to get this incase I regretted not giving it a try.

This lip scrub 3 essential ingredients which are; Sicilian Mandarin Oil , Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter and Fine Sea Salt. Now I wasn't sure once I got this home if these ingredients would go together well, I waited till I tried it to give it my full verdict.

When I opened the lid the first thing I could smell was the Sicilian oil which was had a nice sweet element to it. Inside also was bright pink with lots of red fine salt hearts.

Caster Sugar, Sunflower Oil(Carthamus tinctorius), Fine Sea Salt, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Red Edible Hearts and Soft Pink Glimmer Lustre,(Hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose, PEG 400, Sodium carboy methyl cellulose, Corn Starch, Maltodextrin, Potassium Aluminium Sillcate, Colour 16255), Sicilian Mandarin Oil (Citrus Noblis), Almond Essential Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Amara), Cornflour (Zea mays). Geraniol, Limonene, Flavour, Colour 15850:1

You know something I honestly don't like giving bad reviews because honestly I really love about 95%of Lush products. I will give you the good points about this but I will give my honest opinions on why this isn't my favourite too because you know something I like to be honest with my readers.

The Good; As with all lush lip scrubs this is very moisturising and a little bit goes along way with this.

The not so good for me; Now I have tried this a few times and I do love the Sicilian mandarin oil but once you get the salt heart on lips, it doesn't taste very pleasant (my own personal opinion). I honestly can't say I like the combination unfortunately and either does my partner.

Too Faced Selfie Powders | Review

Wait a moment..
let me take a selfie 👀

Hi Lovelies
Too Faced has been on my makeup wish list for along time now and you should of seen my face when I finally found this palette in TK Maxx!!! I have been going to TK Maxx on and off for a few years now and honestly finding anything that I want can be a bit of a task as the brands I want aren't there or worse it is there and its been opened and tested and smudged! ugh it can be a nightmare.

Too Faced makeup is a beauty brand I have always wanted to try but something always got in the way, the main reason was finding it as I rather see stuff in person before I buy it. Another being it can be very pricy and I was waiting for a bargain like this.
First Impressions
It was easy to spot when I was in TK Maxx, it was looking at me and saying "buy me please" and for £10 I thought it would be worth a try.
I can see they have been a lot of detail and thought put into the box as it looks lovely and it has all the info you need about the product inside too.
The palette itself is very nice and has 3 shades of selfie powders with a mirror and info underneath it with all the details about each different selfie powder.

What are selfie powders?
I was wondering this myself until I actually read the box and I read these are filters in the real world rather than the filters that you can get in Instagram or snapchat for example. In the palette they have 3 shades and each gives a different effect.

Sunrise - This is a golden shade which is to 'brighten'

Totally Toasted - This is like a bronzer and is described as to add 'warmth'

Moon River - This looks like a lavender shade is described as 'cool'

How I use it
Now I am not sure if these are much difference between these and any other highlighter I have tried to be honest. They are used pretty much the same as a highlighter and I like to use them either on my cheek bones or on my nose or both.

Final Thoughts
Even though this is beautifully packaged and the shades are gorgeous it is not the most pigmented highlighter I have tried and takes quite a lot of product to get a highlight I am used to. Even though it is not the most pigmented once built up it looks gorgeous  and my favourite out of the 3 shades is moon river as I love the purple shimmer it has.

I am happy that I found this in TK Maxx as it is a product I use quite often even though its not quite as expected. The main thing is its easy build to get a more defined look as the powders feel silky on the skin and also they are long lasting. I am sold by this brand and I cant wait to try makeup from this brand, I have lot of their products on my wishlist.

Have you tried anything from Too Faced?

Lush Unicorn Horn | Review

lush unicorn horn review
Unicorns are real?
...Well in bubble bar form yes!

Hi Lovelies
Lush honestly sure know how to make me come and buy more products, I have lost count of how many products I have tried over the years but you know I am glad I did try as many as I have because they make bath times more exciting and relaxing and the skincare products are honestly one of my skincare brands everything smells divine and the creams actually work.

Unicorn Horn is not a new bubble bar to the lush scene but one thing is for sure it has changed over the years I remember that two years ago it was a little bit bigger and it also had stars in it too. This year it has a combination of three colours, pink, yellow and mint with lustre finish too it. I actually love how the 2017 unicorn horn looks, it looks more mystical and a bit more magic to it if you know what I mean.

lush unicorn horn bubble bar review
First Impressions
Honestly whats not to love about this lush unicorn horn? I really think it looks gorgeous and brings a little bit of magic once you buy it and give it a try. It may sound a little expensive at £4.25 but I like to savour it and break it in to at least 3 or 4 pieces.

VERY FLORAL and when I say that I mean it, this has a very strong smell of Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Neroli oil. For me it also has a sweet smell to it too and reminds me a lot of candy especially as it has lustre.

lush unicorn horn review
Final Thoughts
I took a little bit off the top of the 'unicorn horn' and I squashed it in my hand to make it almost into powder form, doing this and putting it under running water helps to create lots of bubbles as you can see in the above picture. As soon as the water touches the bubble bar you start to see lots of bubbles in the bath, not only that it creates a cupcake sprinkle effect on top of the bubbles so its like you are having a bath in  a giant cupcake.

I was pleasantly surprised with how much bubbles were created only with a small amount of product. The scent of flowers grew more intense in the water with this bubble bar and it brought a smile to my face because the bath water felt silky and the smell was relaxing.

February Birchbox | Review

February birchbox review
Hi Lovelies
As I said in my February Glossy Box post that my lovely partner has got me 2 lovely beauty subscription boxes. It has been well over a year since my last Birchbox and I have been tempted to order them again for a while so its just fantastic I have the chance to try them all over again. I have very high hopes for this months box and fingers crossed I will continue with the subscription because it like a surprise present every month.

Birchbox is monthly subscription box that sends a variety of different beauty and skincare beauty products. The box costs £10 a month plus P&P.
february birchbox review
Inside this months box
Beaver Professional Daily moisture conditioning spay ( Sample Size
This is a brand I have never heard of before this box but I do like the sound of the product, this is a conditioning spray to help nourish and detangle hair as the formula is nutrient rich. I have used the a few times on my partners hair just after he washed his hair, it has a nice scent and made it easier for me to style.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse ( Sample Size)
I don't know why but I get a classic vintage vibe with the bottle of this! The sample size is decent and a good travel size. I have never tried an oil that is multi-purpose before so I am pretty excited to give this a try.

Keeome Hydration Mask Therapy ( Full Size
Before this I have never tried a sheet face mask, the only masks I have tried are clay masks etc. So I was so excited to try this! This mask is full of vital vitamins and mulberry extracts that are said to tired complexions. I put this mask on for 25 minutes and I must admit putting it on for the first time it felt different and my mum got surprise when I rang her haha. I did like this face mask though as it left my skin feeling smoother.

Pop Beauty Bright up your life eyeshadow too in Champagne Mocha ( Sample Size )
This is a brand I have never heard of prior this box but I am pretty excited to try it out, I have not got a chance to try them yet but I did swatch them and they are very nice and they are neutral. I like everything about the palette but I am not keen on the makeup application included with it as it is not easy to clean.

Spectrum Collections Marbleous C06 Tulip Eye Contour Brush ( Full Size )
I just love Spectrum makeup brushes they all look so amazing, they have amazing designs and they are many makeup brushes to choose from. I have another eyeshadow brush and I use it most days and its easy to use and gives me some epic eye makeup looks. I am looking forward to trying this brush in the near future.

Final Thoughts
I really enjoyed this months box and for the amount of products you get in the box and for the price of the box I think it is a pretty good bargain. I am very happy that I got this months box in many ways one being the new products that I am trying and another reason being is the fact the box itself is a drawer. I am using this box as a makeup storage and it is working very well and the box design makes it look very nice too.

Birchbox is £10 a month with P&P and you can either get it in monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months or a yearly subscription.
I have a discount code for £5 off a first box ordered with them which is below

Dying my hair purple with Crazy Color Hot Purple

crazy colors hot purple review
 Hi Lovelies
I have lost count of how many times I have dyed my hair over the years but its been a while since Ive had purple hair. I went to Sally's in Shawlands the other day expecting to be getting my usual red hair dye but I  was spoilt by how many choices were there that I thought twice about what colour to do my hair. After looking at the colour chart I decided to go for Crazy Color Hot Purple as I thought it would work well on my dark blonde hair.

I knew before dyeing my hair that results work best with bright hair dyes but I was willing to give it a risk because they wasn't a chance I was going to be bleaching it beforehand. I have a sensitive scalp and I don't want to risk loosing more hair because I loose enough with PCOS.

Crazy Color is a very new brand to me and to be honest I haven't heard much about it before I decided to try it, I have no idea why I haven't heard of it before because this brand was founded way back in 1977. After doing my homework online I seen the have a various selection of products available including 27 different colour dyes, they also have bleach and shampoos.

crazy colors hot purple review
These are a very affordable price of £4 per bottle and can cover hair thats shoulder length, I would defiantly suggest more than one bottle if you have long hair.
because it is a vibrant shade it will be likely you would need to dye your hair between every 2 and 4 weeks, so thats a cost to keep in mind.

How Apply
I did the same thing with this that I did with my Manic Panic Vampire Red. I got a mixing bowl ready with tinting brush, I also put on an old towel and put vaseline on my hair around my skin near my hair to stop dye going on my skin.

I put all of the dye into the bowl and put my hair into section so it would be easier to put on the hair dye evenly. Once I applied all the hair dye on my hair I used a wide toothed comb to make sure all the hair dye was distributed all over my hair.

Waiting Time
On the website it recommends leaving it on your hair for 15/30 minutes, I wanted to make sure that my hair would be purple so I decided to leave it on for the whole 30 minutes.

As with any vibrant hair dye it is suggested that you wash out the hair dye with as cold water as you can stand, I put my water on as cold as possible and I would say it was just under luke warm.
I know your meant to wait till the water runs clear but even with most hair dyes they never run clear they just run into a quite faded colour with a slight shade of the colour you have in your hair.

Another good thing about this dye that they was no smell too it and the product itself was very gentle my hair and scalp.
crazy colors hot purple
Final results
As you can see in the photos above its ok that it worked decent on hair that wasn't fully bleached and hair quite a lot of strawberry blonde in it. I like you can see a little bit of red in my hair too. It is not 100% what I was expecting and to be honest I very much doubt I will be keeping it purple for long because I don't think it worked well on my hair, I think this one would work a lot better on light blonde hair or bleached hair.

I have washed it only once and it has faded quite a lot unfortunately. I can't say I am put off by the brand I just think it would work better on bleached or lighter hair.

Life with PCOS

Hi Lovelies
This time last year I can honestly say I felt like utter SHITE and the reasons for that being were I was putting on so much weight, my clothes weren't fitting and my periods were haywire and to top everything off my hair was coming out far too much that it had me to the edge of tears.

Not knowing what was wrong with me was horrible to say the least but I decided enough was enough and I went to the doctors and the first thing they said was I pregnant and I knew I wasn't as I had already took many tests. They took a blood test and they said the hormone levels were a  little high and they wanted me to wait until I was next on my period to test again.

Waiting for another period was awful because I had no idea when the next one was going to be. The next period I had wait 6 weeks after the first appointment and then I got tested again. I waited 3 weeks before I got my results which said my hormones were still high and that I had PCOS.

Reality set it.
I know its nothing to celebrate but I was so glad that I was diagnosed because I just knew MY BODY and I knew I didn't feel right. It has been nearly 5 months since I found out and I can say I have accepted that I have PCOS and unfortunately there is no cure and only remedies to help reduce symptoms.

My Symptoms
Thankfully I have managed to reduce my symptoms by eating better and exercising more, I may not of lost any weight yet but the main thing is that I haven't gained any. As for my hair loss its still here and their but I am sure it's not as much as it was before. I just try and avoid washing it as much and only dye with natural or semi permanent dyes.

Another thing I have got back on track from last year is my periods, last year they were all over the place usually between every 2-3 months and honestly it was so uncomfortable and it felt like my period was supposed to be starting well before that but no I felt hormonal from the day it was due till the day it started which could of been weeks. Now for the past 5 months *fingers crossed* I have had a monthly period (every 30 days) and I feel so much better for it too, I am hoping it stays that way and I am going to try my darn hardest for that to happen.

Things to change
Now I know I have changed a lot with what I am eating but I still have a few changes I need to do. At the moment I have stopped using white bread and swapped it for wholemeal, the same going with pasta and  stuff like that. But the thing I need to change is cutting down the carbs a little bit and also how much sugar I am eating too ( I am partial to a biscuit or two)

I know I have mentioned it a lot but its quite a main thing with PCOS, anyway with them I can honestly say they are PAINFUL and wow I mean painful! And not only are they painful they can be very heavy from started to finish and I know I can't change that very much but I like to keep a hot water bottle handy and my chocolate bars stocked up.

Coping with negative attitudes
Since my diagnoses of PCOS I have told a few people about it and honestly reactions can differ from person to person but sometimes people think I over exaggerate  my symptoms because seeing as they are invisible to the naked eye its harder for some to except.

  • Weight - I am a size 16-18 and honestly it's not 100% down to what I eat because I haven't changed my diet much for the past 10 years and not so long ago I was between a size 8-10. I have put 4 stone on over the course of over 2 years and the gains were a lot some months. I wish people would mind their own business about my weight or anybody else's for that matter because seriously it has nothing to do with them and it's not nice calling people names just because of a persons size. I am very healthy and I love to exercise, if you have nothing nice to say please don't say it because I am getting tired of the negative talk about my weight because I feel positive with my body no matter what the scales or my clothes size say and to me thats all that matters.

Sorry if this post was a little long winded but I really wanted to get this all off my chest because PCOS can suck but writing about it has actually made me feel so much better. I will be writing more about PCOS in the future

Lush Cupid Bath Bomb | Review

lush cupid bath bomb review
Valentine's Day is a day which is very much like marmite you either you love or you don't and me for one am not a fan to be honest. I am not saying that I don't love my partner its just we have certain times of the year we like celebrating and for us Valentine's Day is always so busy everywhere or booked and not only that he works a lot too. We have some days dedicated to going out together for events, meals or just movie nights in having a loving cuddle.

hen why the heck did I buy the lush Valentine's Day collection do you ask? Well I'm a sucker when it comes to Lush holiday collections and this collection is so freaking adorable especially with the fact they have a unicorn horn and lots of love heart themed things. I bought a few gorgeous products in my Lush Valentine's Day Haul so it you want to see it give that wee link a click to see what amazing things I bought.

lush valentines day
Now I must apologise for the quality of the photos of cupid in the bath, I had to use my phone camera as my camera needed to be charged. I will be remembering next time as I love showing you all the true beauty of Lush products.

First Impressions
Because valentines is all about love I just had to get this as its shaped like a love heart with cupids bow. I have to admit I just think its just adorable and the smell goes perfect with it too. The heart is pastel pink like candy and the arrow is a lovely hot pink.

The price is a decent price of £2.95 which is fair since it is not as big as a lot of the other bath bombs in Lush.

As I said above the scent is just GORGEOUS! It has a lovely sweet fragrance and the 4 key fragrances in cupid are Persian Lime oil, Bergamot Oil, Violet Leaf absolute and Rose petal powder.
lush cupid valentines day collection
Final Thoughts
After I filled my bath with lovely warm water I dropped this into the bath gently and as soon as I did that this beauty started to slowly fizz and release white and pink in all directions until it started swirling. Usually bath products melt or fizz away quite quickly but this was the opposite this is a slow melter with lots of soft foam bubbles that feel lovely on the hand.

I went in the bath with my partner and we both noticed how beautiful the smell of the violet and other scents went together so nicely, it reminded us both of the retro and still one of my favourite sweets parma violets. Once in the bath this was still melting showing us how gorgeous the swirls of hot pink and white went together, I think it took about 10 minutes to completely melt and even then I helped it a little by squashing it.

After getting out the bath I smelt exactly like this and the smell of violets stayed on my skin until the next day which I just love about lush products. One thing I know and I do is when I have a lush bath I tend to do more skincare things like wear a face mask and put lots of serum on my skin and body moisturiser.

If you like sweet smelling Lush products then yes this worth buying, its also quite nice display if display is one of the reasons you buy lush products.

Available online and instore.

Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Body Cream | Review

dr botanicals moroccan rose
With all the skincare products out there it can be a little bit of a task to find products that  are 100% natural with added benefits such as nourishing the skin and also to have a nice scent too. I have recently being trying this body cream from Dr Botanicals.

Dr Botanicals is a natural skincare company that are made in the UK and sell lots of different skincare products including oils, moisturisers and much more. Dr Botanicals are 100% organic and are cruelty free and the products are also vegan  friendly too. The prices are premium but the products are natural and are sourced by plants and are completely paraben free and harmful preservative free, so the prices are justified and I also have a discount code for you all to get a massive discount to treat yourself.

dr botanicals Moroccan rose review
First Impressions
This moroccan rose & shea butter body repairing cream honestly one of the most DIVINE smells I have ever smelled from a skincare product. The rose scent is so natural that the cream actually smells like rose petals and with the combination of the shea butter it's so creamy! When I applied this to my skin it sunk into my skin like a dream and absorbs within a few seconds without feeling greasy. I have tried this cream a few times and the scent is so lovely and strong that it could be also doubled over as a perfume as the fragrance is so beautiful and delicate.

The cream is in a MASSIVE 100ml jar so I can see myself having this last me a good 6-8 months before I use this all up and thats just brilliant, you get so much product for your money. The jar is a screw top and the jar is made out of a strong and very well made glass.  The cream also comes in a box with all the info you need about the product and also the ingredients list too.

dr botanicals blog review
Ingredients and Benefits of this cream
  • Rose oil is rich in omega 3 and 6 which help to hydrate the skin which helps make the skin softer
  • Shea butter has high levels of Vitamins A, F and E which helps protect, soothe and rejuvenate the skin.
  • Apricot kernel oil is an amazing source of essential fatty acids and vitamins A & E. Both of which deeply moisturise skin and also help keep it nourished.

My thoughts
I love this body cream, it smells gorgeous and the days I actually wear this I don't put any perfume on because this smells that beautiful I don't feel the need to actually put on a perfume too.

The cream is so lightweight that its perfect if your in a rush which I am most of the time as I like to do so many things on a schedule. After it has been put on the skin and rubbed throughly in thats pretty much it, it dries leaving skin feeling soft and nourished without feeling greasy.

Even though this is an expensive product I would 100% say its worth it and with the discount code it is a specular bargain and I think I might just get another one to treat myself.

Lush Valentines Day Haul

Lush Valentines day review
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Lush has lots of new valentines products for you..

Love is in the air? Well it very much could be with the Valentine's Day Collection from Lush! Everything looks gorgeous and goes perfectly with the love/cupid theme of valenitnes day. I noticed lots of the products have some sort of love heart on them or look quite sweet such as the unicorn horn and also an adorable lady bug bubble bar. They are new products this year as well as some old favourites too, unicorn horn is back but it looks a lot different from last year.

I am usually onto new Lush products very quickly but I haven't been able to get this till yesterday as I live quite a distance away from central Glasgow. I went to Braehead shopping centre so I could go get some other shopping too so Lush could be a little excursion for us to visit and have a little look and buy of the Valentine's Day collection.

Here my Lush Valentines day Haul.....
lush valentines day haul
What I bought
  • Cupid Bath Bomb (£2.95)  This is shaped like cupids arrow with a  lovely love heart, the two shades of pink look nice together and this kinda smells and looks like a bit of candy. The scent I can smell most is violet, rose and lime oil so its quite a sweet candy scent.
  • Lovestruck Bubble Bar (£4.25) This bubble bar looks like an all loved up emoji, its bright yellow with a bright pink smile and rose red heart eyes. The scent is very citrusy as it has lemon oil and geranium oil the smell for me is very refreshing.
  • Ladybird Bubble Bar (£3.95) This is shaped like an adorable ladybird, its bright red with purple details and little eyes. Its a decent size so I would say it can be used more than once. The smell is utterly divine with peppermint oil and geranium oil.
  • Lover Lamp Bath Bomb (£4.25) This is simple with lovely red love hearts on the sides. The simplicity suits it so well and its got a nice surprise when it melts, it has lots of red hearts inside. The smell is sweet with vanilla and organic cocoa butter.
  • Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar (£4.25) I BELIEVE IN UNICORNS, well at least the bubble bars I do haha! The unicorn horns are so fun and quite quirky too. They have a sprial of pink, yellow and lime green. The scent of this is very floral and has lavender, ylang ylang and neroli oil.
  • The Kiss Lip Scrub (£5.25) I just adore lip scrubs from Lush I always put them on before any lipstick and it helps make the lipstick last longer and also smoothes my lips. This lip scrub is bright pink with lots of red little hearts. The scent of this is mandarin oil and sea salt. It also has soothing organic cocoa butter.

Whats in the Lush Valentines day collection
  • Knot wraps - Toucan Love, Roses,
  • Gift boxes - Lots of love, In your dreams, with love, Love and kisses, Happy Valentines day, With love

The South Lanarkshire Comic Con

the south Lanarkshire comic con
I have always wanted to go to a Comic Con event and I never got the chance to go to one until recently. I was looking at upcoming events in my local area on my Facebook and I found out about The South Lanarkshire Comic Con which was held at Rutherglen town hall, which was hosted by BGCP. This event is a bit smaller than the annual MCM Glasgow comic con but still very much worth going too with lots of special guests, merchandise and cosplay competitions.

The time of the events was 10am till 4pm on the 4th of February. The parking in the area is plentiful but it was very busy because it was a Saturday and obviously because of the event too. We got their at about 10.40 and we eventually found a parking space after about 10 minutes but luckily it was only a 5 minute walk from Rutherglen town hall.

Once we got their we payed the £1 fee and under 5s go for free, we also got our hands stamped so if we wanted to go out for lunch we could come back in easily. Once inside we were handed a leaflet with all the days activities and also directions to where all the shops and merchandise and were the cosplay competition were going to be held.

We went on the ground floor first which was a quite busy and had lots of comic books stalls and merchandise stalls like harry potter, candles and superhero themed stalls too. Also on the first level was a cafe where they were food and drinks available, the cafe was a big size so plenty of room for  a busy event.

Upstairs was easy to get to as well as it also had a big staircase and also lifts which is great for people with wheelchairs or with prams.

Upstairs had many more shops then the group floor and also had comic book artists which were drawing their comic book art and also their was one of my favourite wrestlers jack jester. The shops had lots more upstairs and also had hand knitted items, cakes and clothes.
Jack Jester
Special Guests

  • Jack Jester - He is wrestler from Glasgow and wrestles for ICW (insane championship wrestling) which is based in Glasgow. He won the ICW World Heavyweight championship and held it for 385 days.  They have shows here in Glasgow and all around the UK.
  • Frank Quietly
  • Gary Erskine
  • John Less
Lots of people made a brilliant on the day to dress up as different characters, they were lots of star wars themed costumes and also people dressed up as the Ghostbusters. I could see people put lots of time and dedication into their costumes.

My Everyday Makeup Look

Now first things first when it comes to makeup I don't wear it religiously everyday, I wear it when I feel like it and sometimes thats everyday or even not wearing it all for a few days. With makeup I have a few different products I love to wear and I like change up the routine a bit every time but decided to make this post/youtube anyway because it just a basic of what I love to wear.

With makeup it can depend when I put it on but when it comes to everyday makeup I usually put it on first thing in the morning. All this is part of my everyday beauty routine, I try to schedule it as much as I possibly can because I like to have enough time to put my makeup on which is roughly about 20-30 minutes every morning.

My all time favourite foundation is my urban decay naked skin foundation, the reason I love this foundation so much is that it's weightless on skin and I also use the naked concealer too which also lasts all day combined with my urban decay all nighter spray, honestly they are a match made in heaven these products.

I have currently run out of the urban decay foundation so I need to get myself a new foundation but I have my eyes set on the new urban decay all nighter foundation too see how it compares.

For me I just neutral shades for an everyday look as they can be spiced up if you are going out at night time. My favourite shades to choose from are champagne, gold and bronze, they go beautifully together especially if they are combined with a nice eyeliner and water line eyeliner too. My favourite eyeliner at the moment is MUA gel liner and the Barry M white liner. White liner is great for me as it makes my eyes look more brighter and sparkly.

My brows a few years ago weren't to great to be honest because I tended to over plucked them and my knowledge of brow makeup was very limited. I have learned a lot since then as use a brow pomade with a brow gel. I also have tried different techniques to find the right brow style for me.

I only ever pluck my brows once a month compared to the once every few days which I used to do a few years ago. I am so glad my brows are on fleek now.

Now I barely ever wear the same lipstick two days in a row because I like to mix it up a little bit but I do like to go for the same shades when it comes to my everyday makeup and its either between nudes, pinks or berry shades. Before I put any lipstick on I always put on a lip scrub and honestly my lips feel alot smoother and with that it makes putting lipstick on so much easier.

Do you have any makeup favourites?

Illamasqua Venous Nail Varnish | Review

Illamasqua venous review
You know something everyone, it has been absolute ages since I last did a whats on my nails post.
It is not like I haven't been wearing anything on my nails or something like that its just that I reused the ones I had or it has totally slipped my mind to do a blog post about them. I think I have about roughly 60 nail varnishes at the moment and I do have a few favourite brands but Illamasqua are one of favourites because the quality of the products and also the shades available.

Illamasqua is beauty brand that I start using back in 2014 when I first started blogging, they have many different makeup products including makeup, perfume and also makeup brushes and lots of other things too.

The nail varnishes from Illamasqua cost about £14.50 but I managed to find this one in TK Maxx for the bargain price of £3.99. They are available on the website and also at Illamasqua counters around the UK.

Illamasqua Venous Nail varnish
Illamasqua Venous is a bold opaque blue/green shade and you get a decent amount of product which is 15ml.The formula is award winning at being chip resistant and hardwearing. They advise two coats for a more bold and intense look. Another thing about Illamasqua nail varnishes is they are vegan friendly and like the brand they are cruelty free too.

My Thoughts
Before applying this I like to make sure my nails are 100% clean which no previous nail varnish on as it gives the nail varnish a much smoother; after that I like to put on a hand cream. The brush on this is a good size so its quite easy to put the nail varnish on without making a mess around the nails. I found that one coat of Venous is enough for an opaque look, it also had a nice shine to it too. It does recommend using a topcoat but I don't use one because I find Illamasuqa nail varnishes last just as well without them.

I have no cons to say about Venous, it is the perfect blue/green shade and also very long lasting. I totally recommend try Illamasqua nail varnishes.

Available online and also at illamasuqa counters

Have you tried anything from Illamasqua before?
