TK Maxx Summer Haul

tk maxx summer haul
When it comes to TK Maxx in my opinion its 50/50 to what you will find in the shop, its either LOTS of treasures or makeup that has been opened and ruined or no recent stock "BOO!". On Friday I hit the jackpot as stock had recently been replenished and they were lots of fresh and unopened makeup. Every time I go the first part of the shop I go to is the beauty department to see if they are any premium names and bargains to be had.

One of the main reasons I love going to TK Maxx is the homeware department as you can find some unique products that aren't on the high-street and also some beautiful cushions too. The beauty and clothes department can be like marmite it depends what you like but if you love finding a bargain TK Maxx is defiantly with going too to see if you can find anything you like.

 Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette
RRP £35, I got for £12.99
This palette is an eyeshadow and an eyeliner palette and I am so excited to giving this a try!! I have high hopes for this as I just love my Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette which I have nearly completed now because I just love the shades and the fact they are long lasting too.

Too Faced 'Melted Metal' Lipsticks in Bunny and Jelly
RRP £19 each I got for £4.99 each
I got these both for £4.99 each which I couldn't resist and ended up buying 2. August Primark Haul

Hi Lovelies, I hope you are all well?
Summer has been a bit rubbish this year in the UK hasn't it? I thought it would have been nicer weather this year but nope.. Lots of rain and wind as usual haha. I haven't bought much summer clothes at all this year, I just bought things that I am going to wear all year round and also school uniforms and stuff like that for the kids, because they are going back to school in just over a week. I can't believe how fast the summer holidays have gone!

Primark has been one of my favourite places to go for clothes, shoes and home decor for a fair number of years now ( now that I think about it maybe 10 years) and I would have to say most of my wardrobe is Primark clothes and I am happy with that.

What I bought
2 T-shirt Bras £10 - I haven't bought a good bra in ages so I thought it was about time that I got some new ones. I got these two simple bras that are in the DD range and the selection of bras may not be big but they are a good price and I hope they work wonders on my chest because most of my bras don't fit so well at all.

Flamingo LED Lights £6 - I just had to have these! They are going to look amazing on my dressing table and also in the background in future blog posts! I am so glad I spotted them and can't wait to give them a whirl in future blog posts and youtube videos.

Def Leppard Nighty £7 - I just love all of the classic rock bands; the graphics that they all had were just epic not forgetting how brilliant the music is though. I think the pink compliments the design of this nighty, can't wait to try it on.

Bubble Bee Shoes £8 - The absolute bargain of the century has to be these shoes! As soon as I seen these in the shop I knew fine well I needed them and put them straight in my basket. They look to a few designers at the moment so I couldn't resist getting these. My name means honey bee so these will match me perfectly.

Lush Metamorphosis | Review

Hi Lovelies, I hope you are all well?
For me bath times are more of a hobby rather than to get clean because me and my partner just love lush baths and I have explained why in a recent post. I have tried many different bath products over the years and I think it is the novelty of it that makes me buy them and the reason I say that is because I love watching them create different effects, colours and smells in my bath.

I recently got myself a mini haul of bath products I haven't tried before and they are 'Yellow Submarine' and the one this post is about it 'Metamorphosis' and they are both quirky and nice to look at bath bombs so lets see how they got on shall we?

lush metamorphosis bath bomb
This is a very unique looking bath bomb and it totally reminds me of the death star wars, anyone else thing it does? I had some very big expectations of Metamorphosis because it looks very different from the usual bath products from lush and it had a lovely scent too, so as you can guess I was super duper excited to give this a whirl.

Key Ingredients
Black Pepper Oil
Cinnamon Leaf Oil
Myrrh Resinoid

lush metamorphosis bath bomb
I was very keen to fill my bath up with warm water because I was so excited to finally put this in my bath because I was hoping it would be super colourful inside giving a lovely display but sadly for me personally it was a bit of a let down, if you click on my youtube video below you will understand why because to be honest it doesn't look nice at all and not only that it makes such a big mess of the bath after you finished with it too and its not exactly the easiest to clean off either unfortunately.

I was excited to try it but wow it surprised me at how disappointing it was for me and my partner, it wasn't as fragrant as we were expecting and the display wasn't what we were expecting either so this has to be our most disappointing product we have tried so far. I don't like being negative at all but you know I like to be honest with you all because thats me I like to be honest and I would rather know if someone felt the same way about a product that wasn't up to scratch.

Even though this looked amazing, I can't deny that, I can't see myself buying this again especially as it cost an eye watering £4.25. I am looking forward to trying more lush products in the future though.

Lush or Leave?
sadly it has to be leave

May Beauty Favourites

Hi Lovelies, how are you all?
May for me was an amazing month and one of the top reasons was the return of the warm sunny weather! I had missed it so much because it's usually always cloudy or rainy in Glasgow. My beauty routine slightly changes a little bit in the warmer months because I like to keep my skin more hydrated and also a slight change to keep my makeup in place all day in the warmer weather.

Its been such a long time since I did a monthly beauty favourite post and I missed doing them, so I am glad I actually got round to making a post about my favourites last months, 'fingers crossed' il being doing this every month and with the youtube video too.
may beauty favourites
My Beauty Favourites
Eyelure volume 101 Lashes
Before I tried these I wasn't a fan of lashes because the ones I have tried before were too heavy or I just didn't suit them at all. These are brilliant for me because they are light weight and I think I suit them very well.  They are good price at £5.39 and I got these on a 3 for 2 offer in Superdrug because I just love them so much.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Celebrity Skin
This was a Christmas present off my lovely mum! She bought this because she knows how much I love lipsticks and she thought I would suit this and you know something she is 100% right! I have tried a few nude shades before but this has to be my favourite so far as its long lasting and the perfect nude shade.

Lush Lip Scrubs
I just love lip scrubs because they are amazing at exfoliating my lips and are amazing at prepping my lips before I apply a lipstick or gloss because it helps keep my skin soft and hydrated. They come in a  variety of different flavours and my favourite is bubblegum because its sweet and tastes very nice too.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
This maybe a little on the expensive side at £23 but I have had this for over a year now and I still have just over half a bottle left. This is brilliant for keeping makeup in place during hot days or for when you want your makeup to last longer or going on a night out.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Cleansing Foam
I love using this most mornings to wash my face with and so does my boyfriend. It has a very nice smell which helps me awaken more in the morning and it also help cleanse my face ready for my moisturisers and/or my makeup. This cost me £6 and has lots of product inside and lasts me and my boyfriend 3 months.

What were your favourite things about last month?

March Primark Haul

Hi Lovelies
I am so happy it is *FINALLY* March and the reason Im so blooming excited its March is that spring time  is that extra bit closer and we all know what that means, longer days and warmer weather with a little bit of luck. I can honestly say I am getting a bit tired of the colder weather now and I am sure I'm not the only one right? Anyway seeing as the days are a little longer and a brighter I decided to have a little look in Primark to see what was in their Sping range. I went in only wanting to get some leggings and came out with a MASSIVE bag full of things, but thats so typical of me, that happens to me every time I go shopping in Primark or Lush.

I did buy a few things but unfortunately I totally forgot to put my partners stuff in the photos or the youtube video *woops* but he just got himself some fitness gear because he got he recently got a job as a personal trainer *yay*.

march primark haul

  1. Grey Hoodie - Even though spring can be warm its still can have its cold days and mornings tend to be cool. Love how comfy it is and is a perfect for a casual outfit.
  2. Floral Lingerie set - Is it me or has Primarks lingerie improved so much? The designs are very nice and the prices are so very good too. I wish they were bigger sizes though as it was a little bit tough to find the larger sizes.
  3. Bon Jovi T-shirt - I love wearing band t-shirts I have no idea why but I just think they look cool and are perfect for everyday wear.
  4. Leggings -Like honestly can you ever have to many leggings? They are so comfortable and the stretch in them is just amazing. These have an elastic waist band on top with a nice design they also have a logo on the side that says Tokyo.

primark beauty haul
I haven't really tried Primark beauty products before apart from the makeup brushes so I thought it was about time to try some more of the beauty products in the range to see how well they worked and I ended getting these.

  1. False Lashes - I have always wanted to wear false lashes more but finding ones that suit me and also ones that fit my budget was a bit of a problem, fingers crossed that these will work  the charm with me.
  2. PS Pro blending brush - Now I have seen a lot of these brushes on youtube and they seems to be a big hype about them so thought why not give them a try?
  3. Lip Crayons - I have a fair few lipsticks but I think only one lip crayon so I decided to give this one a try, the shade looks very nice.

Everything else
  1. Hair accessories and jewellery for my daughters - My daughters love to wear hair clips and the sparklier the better in their opinion. I also got them bows and also two matching bracelets.
  2. Pokemon Ball Cushion - My son is a big fan of Pokemon and he got a surprise when I got him this, he loves it. I need to get him Pokemon a duvet for him next.

My Everyday Makeup Look

Now first things first when it comes to makeup I don't wear it religiously everyday, I wear it when I feel like it and sometimes thats everyday or even not wearing it all for a few days. With makeup I have a few different products I love to wear and I like change up the routine a bit every time but decided to make this post/youtube anyway because it just a basic of what I love to wear.

With makeup it can depend when I put it on but when it comes to everyday makeup I usually put it on first thing in the morning. All this is part of my everyday beauty routine, I try to schedule it as much as I possibly can because I like to have enough time to put my makeup on which is roughly about 20-30 minutes every morning.

My all time favourite foundation is my urban decay naked skin foundation, the reason I love this foundation so much is that it's weightless on skin and I also use the naked concealer too which also lasts all day combined with my urban decay all nighter spray, honestly they are a match made in heaven these products.

I have currently run out of the urban decay foundation so I need to get myself a new foundation but I have my eyes set on the new urban decay all nighter foundation too see how it compares.

For me I just neutral shades for an everyday look as they can be spiced up if you are going out at night time. My favourite shades to choose from are champagne, gold and bronze, they go beautifully together especially if they are combined with a nice eyeliner and water line eyeliner too. My favourite eyeliner at the moment is MUA gel liner and the Barry M white liner. White liner is great for me as it makes my eyes look more brighter and sparkly.

My brows a few years ago weren't to great to be honest because I tended to over plucked them and my knowledge of brow makeup was very limited. I have learned a lot since then as use a brow pomade with a brow gel. I also have tried different techniques to find the right brow style for me.

I only ever pluck my brows once a month compared to the once every few days which I used to do a few years ago. I am so glad my brows are on fleek now.

Now I barely ever wear the same lipstick two days in a row because I like to mix it up a little bit but I do like to go for the same shades when it comes to my everyday makeup and its either between nudes, pinks or berry shades. Before I put any lipstick on I always put on a lip scrub and honestly my lips feel alot smoother and with that it makes putting lipstick on so much easier.

Do you have any makeup favourites?

Lush Shoot for the Stars | Review

lush shoot for the stars bath bomb review
Hi Lovelies
Christmas is my favourite time of the year, I just love the sparkles, decorations and seeing my family. This year Lush has the most beautiful Christmas themed products, I actually treated myself to a few of things in the range in my latest Lush Haul. I really love everything in the range because everything is sparkly and bright and is perfect to help get into the Christmas sprit.

The Lush Christmas range has many things to choose from this year including bath products, soaps, gift sets and lip scrubs. I was also told that all the lush Christmas bath products are vegan, all of Lush products are also cruelty free.  I was spoiled for choice and I had no idea what to get because everything looks wonderful and the whole shops smells gorgeous. Eventually I chose this as part of my haul. I just love it has sparkly gold stars on it.

Lush shoot for the stars bath bomb - £4.25
Cruelty Free

First impressions
This is the first thing I put in my basket during my lush haul. The reason I put it in first was because it has 3 beautiful sparkly stars and is set on a gorgeous bright blue. I looked the price and was in two minds whether to buy it but you all know me, I couldn't resist because of the sparkles and the lovely stars, its just gorgeous.

Picking it up I could smell it has a rather sweet zesty scent. The scent is refreshing and the sparkles go a little bit on your fingers too.

lush shoot for the stars
My thoughts
I made sure the bath was nice and warm before popping in this beauty, it was a slow and delicate melter and was spinning while doing so. Once it started to melt it started to show sparkly stars in the centre and they must have roughly about 7 stars in the centre. Each star was quite big and they were also slow melters too, they had golden sparkles on the back of each of them. When everything was completely melted the bath was a emerald green with golden sparkles in every inch of the water. The beautiful thing about the golden sparkles was they stuck together and raised to the top and burst like little fireworks on top of the water.

The smell was utterly divine and so zesty, it kinda reminded me of a cocktail. Its one of those scents that help you relax especially after a long day. They key 4 ingredients are as follows; Brazilian Orange Oil, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Bergamot Oil and Coconut Cream.

Me and my partner enjoyed this bath so much, it was just blissful. It was so nice relaxing together watching the sparkles in the emerald water. My partner is usually quite picky with lush products he likes but he just loved this one and so did I. We will defiantly be buying it again because I think it worth the money and looks stunning.

Because 'shoot for the stars' contains  coconut cream and some cocoa butter it was very soothing of the skin, the bath water almost felt silky. My skin felt moisturised even after I came out the bath. My skin felt so soft that I didn't actually bother putting extra moisturiser on.

Rating 4.5 / 5

Big and takes its time to melt
Gorgeous display in bath
Lots of glitter

Glitter left on bath

Have you tried anything from the Lush Christmas range yet?

Getting My Hair Red With Manic Panic Vampire Red

manic panic vampire red
Hi Lovelies
You know something, I have actually lost count on how many times I have dyed my hair over the years it has literally been the colour of the rainbow pretty much. I  can honestly say to you all I really enjoy having bright hair and it has to be the biggest reason I wanted to dye it again. My all time favourite hair colour is red and the reason for that is a mixture of a few things and il tell you all what those reasons are; first being I love the way it looks especially with the way I put my makeup on. Secondly red is my favourite colour, I know that may sound like a silly reason but I just love it.

Anyway I did my research well before I took the plunge to dye my hair red. I looked online for ages choosing the right brand and the right red for my hair. I also looked at  the best way to look after red hair because red hair is one of the most difficult hair colours to look after. I also got everything prepared such as the dye, old towel vaseline and so on.

manic panic vampire red

  • Manic Panic Vampire Red x1 ( 2 if you have very long hair)
  • Old Towel
  • Vaseline
  • Plastic Gloves
  • Tinting Bowl and gloves
As you can see in my before picture my hair isn't bleached to a light blonde like the manic panic tub suggests. I didn't mind because usually red hair dyes have worked well before in the past on my dark blonde hair, so I wasn't worried that it wouldn't work. The tub suggests washing your hair with a clarifying shampoo before dying your hair to make sure your hair is clean before putting this hair dye on so I did that beforehand.

manic panic vampire red on dark blonde hair
*As with any hair dye, do a skin patch test*

My partner applied this hair dye on my hair and I would personally suggest to anyone wanting to dye their hair at home to get someone to help them with it because it can be awkward doing it on yourself unless you know what you are doing. My partner applied it to all of my hair evenly with a tinting brush and bowl, they is still about a quarter of a tub left after applying to my hair. Once it was all in my hair I used a big toothed comb to distrubrute the hair dye evenly through all of my hair from my roots to the tips of my hair.

I kept it in my hair for about 45 minutes even though it suggested only 30, the reason I kept it in my hair for longer is because my hair can be a bit resilient sometimes. The hair dye wasn't runny and not much went on the towel. Once it came to washing it out I washed it out  with cool water, the reason for that is that it helps to lock in more of the colour in the hair. Honestly the amount of red that came out in the shower was shocking but to be fair that was to be expected.

I styled my hair as usual once I got all the hair dye out of my hair. I was so happy with the result that I nearly got a tear in my eye because I just loved the way it looked. I style my hair oil, heat proaction spray followed by blow drying and straightening my hair.

manic vampire vampire red

My overall Thoughts
I'm involve with it! I am so happy with the results, I am very shocked it worked so well on unbleached or light blonde hair. Manic Panic is a brand I will be buying of in the future because its a very good quality hair dye. I'm hoping it washes well and I will be using products to make sure my hair stays as bright red as possible.

Another thing I love about Manic panic vampire red is that it has no scent and after washing my hair it was very easy to style my hair. My hair was actually noticeably softer too.

Things I love about Manic Panic
  • Lots of hair colours to choose from
  • The hair dyes are semi permanent
  • Vegan and Cruelty Free
  • They make other things like shampoos and conditioners
  • I love the motto 'live fast dye your hair'

Lush Christmas Haul

Hi Lovelies
As promised I went to Lush and treated myself to some products from their Christmas Collection. It was only recently that I used up all of the Halloween Haul I got a couple of months ago, so I knew it was about time I got some of the Christmas range. For me autumn and winter is my most favourite time of year at Lush because I just love it when they bring out their themed collections such as Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's day. The designs are themed and I have noticed they are also a bit more sparkly too.

Unsurprisingly as we all know Christmas is the most busiest time of the year in any shop, and lush is no different as they are loads more products in the Christmas collection. They are a variety of products such as many types gift boxes, soaps and bathbombs etc. I could of stayed in the shop all day because they was so much to choose from and I really wanted to get everything haha! I was also told that everything in the Christmas range in vegan, so thats great to know.

I noticed the paper bags are Christmas themed too which I find just so darn adorable! It's a light blue with a star shaped bubble bar on it, its almost like a mini present ( to myself of course haha)

Lush Christmas 2016What I bought

  • Shoot for the stars Bath Bomb - £4.25 This is a bright blue with three gold sparkly stars around it! The stars are honey scented and the blue part is a zesty orange scent, I really can't wait to try this and see what it looks like in the bath.
  • Mistletoe Bath Bomb - £4.25 This is just a gorgeous pink and light green shade, I just love it. It has a delicate floral scent which is ylang ylang.
  • Jester Bubble Bar - £6.50 I just love bubble bars because the can be used more than once. This one is a little jester and its bright red, pink and yellow with a blue ribbon and a bell on. This has a nice zesty smell which is bergamot, tangerine and sicilian mandarin oil.
  • Snow Fairy Body Conditioner - £7.95 100ml Snow fairy  is my all time favourite shower gel and I wait all year round till it  come back in stock because I love the smell of sweet candy floss. I didn't get the shower gel this year but this instead to change things up a little.

October Beauty Favourites

October beauty favourites
Hi Lovelies
Its that time of the month again when I show you all my monthly beauty favourites! This month I have made another youtube video to go along with it yet again 'WOOHOO" . October started out really warm and by the end of the month it went really cold. I am sure autumn lasts a day or two and winter on the other hand lasts like the rest of the year.

I honestly normally struggle on what to say is my monthly beauty favourites because I usually use a vast range of products I actually like so it can take me a while to actually decide which ones I like. Out of all the months this year this one had to be the easiest out of all the months to actually choose what I actually loved in October, I tended to use these products the most this month.

October Favourites
  • Urban Decay Naked Foundation : I am so forgetful, I actually had this as a beauty favourite in September too. O well, it just goes to show how much I actually love this foundation. I just love how weightless this is on the skin and it also applies like a dream too. Combined with the urban decay all nighter spray it lasts all day.
  • Nyx Cosmetics Tame & Frame Pomade: I have to say I am no expert when trying to get a decent arch in my brows but this pomade makes it so much easier and to get a shape that I actually liked and matches my style.
  • Lush Bubble Gum Lip scrub: Every time before I put a lipstick on I always apply a lip balm or scrub before hand because it leaves lips feeling softer and lipstick applies so much better that way.
  • Soap and Glory Heal Genius: This honestly smells lovely, like orange and lemons. I use this everyday (whenever I remember) and my feet are a lot smoother then they used to be.
  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Cleanser: Honestly before this I had never used a cleanser before so trying this was different. It feels very refreshing on the skin with a gorgeous tea tree scent. It comes out like a foam and honestly a little bit goes a long way.

The Body Shop Haul | Glasgow Event

The Body Shop Haul and Glasgow Event
Hi Lovelies
I recently went to a blogger event at The Body Shop in Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow and while there we seen all the brand new Christmas range. The staff were very kind and told us all about all the products, they also had an skincare expert called Sharon who could help anyone with any questions about skincare. The event is the only second time I went to an event so it was a nice change and great place to meet other bloggers and try new products.

The Body Shop has added a lot of Christmas stuff in its range including new scents: the scents are as follows. Vanilla Chai, Frosted Berries and Spiced Apple. They come in a few forms such as shower gel, body butter, fragrance mist and  a few other things too.

Another amazing christmas product they have is beauty advent calendars. The last time I had an advent calendar was when I was a kid! I am so happy to see the many beauty options out now. The body shop offers the advent calendars in 3 different  sizes and prices. As well as the advent calendars they offer so many gift boxes too.

The Body Shop Christmas Range
What I bought

  • Bath Fizzers ( all 4 scents ) £1 / each - I tend to always go to Lush for  bath products but I thought I would have a nice little change and try these since they are adorable. The scents come in vanilla delight, candied plum, berry bliss and frosted flower.
  • Matte Liquid Lipsticks / £6 each - At the moment liquid lipsticks are so popular so I wanted to give these a whirl. I bought  Sydney amaryllis and Tahiti Hibiscus.
  • Himalayan Charcoal Glow Mask / £15 each - I love a good face mask so I just had to get this! This is great for unblocking pores and refreshing skin. The lady at the body shop recommending applying it with a brush so il be using a foundation brush with it haha.
  •  Vanilla Chai Candle / £10 each - I just love candles especially in the colder months. I have actually never got round to actually trying a body candle before but I am looking forward to giving this a try.
  • Spiced Apple Shower Gel / £5 each - Me and my partner love this shower gel already, we have tried it a few times since getting it. It has a spicy and a very subtle sweet scent to it.
  • French Lavendar Massage Oil / £14 each - My partner goes to wrestling training to the gym a lot each week so I got this to help relax his body after all the activities he does. I also use it to help me relax after a long day.
  • Frosted Berries Lip Balm / £4 - Defiantly one of my favourite buys of the day! This has a nice sweet delicate smell and helps keep lips soft.
  • Reggie Bath Sponge / £4 each - How adorable is this sponge, just love it

September Beauty Favourites

september beauty favourites
Hi Lovelies
September was a great month for me because it had some beautiful longer warm days and those days slower got shorter and the evenings started to become cooler and you may be wondering why I love that? Well the reason I love it is because it signifies the start of Autumn. For me Autumn means lovely warm jumpers, spicy candles, halloween and also getting ever nearer to my favourite ever holiday ever and that is Christmas.

I usually struggled picking my monthly beauty favourites but for September it was no problem for me at all because all the products I choose were used way more then once during September and they are still being used by me now. I am so confident with my favourites that I decided to make my first ever Youtube video which I have included below, I hope you all enjoy it.

Beauty Favourites
The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector
Autumn and Winter can be a bit harsh to my hands so I love to use this hand cream as it keeps my hands feeling soft all year round. The smell of this is just gorgeous too and a little bit on my hands goes a long way. I put this on usually in the morning and it usually lasts me till the evening till I need to apply it agin.

Urban Decay Foundation
I absolutely love this foundation ever since I bought it in June, its great as it can give a decent coverage and its very easy to build up without feeling to heavy on the skin. It has a very mild fruity scent and it has a easy to use pump that can be used easily either with a foundation brush or my personal favourite a beauty blender. A little bit goes a long way with this foundation and I am happy to say it lasts all day combined with the urban decay all night makeup setting spray.

Astral all in one cream
This cream is a great muli-tasker as it can be used on the face and also as a body cream. This cream is used by my mum and my nana,  they are the ones who actually recommend this cream too me and I am glad they did. This cream is a great budget option and works as well as any other cream I have tried as it smells very nice, it goes onto the skin nicely without feeling sticky.

Makeup Revolution - It eats you up matte
This lipstick has been my all time favourite last month, I don't usually wear the same lipstick more then a couple of times a month but this one I wore most days because I love it so much. This lipstick is a gorgeous bright pink in a matte finish and it lasts so long without needing reapplied! I can't believe it only costs £2.50, its one of the best budget buys I have.

Makeup Revolution Fortunes Favours the Brave
Another makeup revolution product you say? well I absolutely love the brand because they have come cut so many gorgeous products and the palettes are just wow! This palette was designed with britishbeautyblogger and it has so many lovely neutral shade in it that are perfect for any occasion such as everyday use to a party look.
