Summer Skincare Saviours

Hi Lovelies, I hope you are all well?
For me summer is one of my favourite times of the year because I love the fashion, the longer days ice cream and all of the summer things well all love and enjoy ( as long as its not too hot because you know its either too hot or too cold ahah). Even though I love soaking in the sunshine my skincare is also very important to me and more now that ever because the sun is brighter and warmer in the summer. We all need to use a suncream to prevent sunburn and burns or worse, its very important to get a suncream in the right SPF to guard and protect our skin.

Apart from the obvious suncream I like to add more love and attention to my skin because I notice if I don't pay enough attention to my skin it can get really dry especially my face, hands and my feet so keeping them moisturised is a big priority for me. As you may notice they are 5 products below but I will be writing more than just these 5.

summer skincare saviours
The Body Shop Tea Tree Cleanser
Honestly I can't praise this product enough, it has a very refreshing scent and makes me more alert and awake in the mornings. This is a foam and is applied to the skin just as you would a moisturiser and washed off with just plain warm water. I use this most mornings as does my partner as it helps reduce my blemishes and also helps keep pores clear too. I think this is a bargain as I have just under half and I have used this for nearly 6 months now and it cost a very respectable £6.

oOlution Eye Love
This is one of the reasons I absolutely love getting mostly subscription boxes because otherwise I would never of been able to find this fabulous product. This eye cream is amazing at keeping my under eyes moisturised, reducing dark circles and puffiness. I personally have dark circles and this has helped reduce that and also its been a good base for applying concealer. I got this in my march glossy box and once it has gone I will be repurchasing.

Dr Botanicals Facial Oil
If you asked me about facial oils and serums a few years ago I would of shrugged my shoulders and not had a clue about them but now I have so many of them and they are part of my everyday routine as well as my summer routine. This facial oil feels super luxurious and soft on my skin and only takes 4 drops for my face and neck. It feels very oily for about 5 minutes but once it sinks into the skin after that time my skin feels so much more softer. I also like to use this as a base before applying makeup.

Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner
Any conditioner from lush would do but this is my all time favourite for summer! I know this is a Christmas product but I feel like this more of summer scented product with the 4 key ingredients/scents of cherry fusion, mango butter, cocoa butter and avocado which for me are very summery but you know everyone has a different opinion on that. I usually put this on after having a shower as it keeps my skin feeling soft with a little bit of a sparkle, it kinda makes me feel like a unicorn haha.

Nip and Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser
I hit the jackpot when I won this and some other products from a competition I won last year! This is very lightweight and has a lovely fresh scent. It contains superfoods of kale,  watercress and almond oil and benefits the skin by soothing and moisturising with aloe vera and shea butter. Not only is it a lovely treat for the skin its also none greasy too, I usually have combination skin and that helps to keep my skin moisturised and a more even base. This costs a fair price of £19.95 which I think is a good price as mine has only just ran out and I've used mine for well over 7 months, so lasting product.

The Body Shop French Lavender Massage Oil | Review

the body shop french lavender massage oil review
💜 Hi Lovelies 💜
I can't believer its 2017 already and this post is my first post of the year and that marks my blogs 3rd birthday which is in July! I love blogging as much now as I did then. In 2016 I loved using many different beauty products but none stood out to me as much as the body shop products including this massage oil. I am relatively new to massage oils so trying this was a totally new thing for me.

The body shop is a favourite shop of mine over the past year, I have tried so many products this year I have lost count and I have yet to write about them on my blog. I would have wrote about them sooner but it has been a busy past few months but I promise they will be on my blog soon. The french lavender massage oil is one of a few different massage oils available in the body shop, this oil is part of the spa range.
the body shop french lavender massage oil review
First Impressions
I just love the packaging of this massage oil and I really wish I took a picture of the box too because I firmly believe quite a lot of the time we buy with our eyes first and the box for this looks very elegant and quite high end.

The bottle looks very nice too and you could actually imagine it fitting in nicely in a spa environment.      Its quite strong and you can tell its made well and fit for the job. It has a nice cooper label on it with all the information you need on it. It also has a simple and easy to use top so you can get as much or little massage oil as you need.

The french lavender itself is actually from the south of France and the story of lavender being used is in the 14th century by King Charles VI of France, he wanted his pillows filled with lavender to help him sleep.

Application
Now I am no expert with this product by any means but me and my partner have been using this by putting the desired amount on our backs and massaging into the skin until its absorbed. It can also be used with massage tools that are also available on the body shop website but for me personally I like using it the way I do and to be honest it has been working a charm for both of us and we have been using it for a while like that now and we not interested in the way we change using it now seeing as we are both happy.

french lavender massage oil
My Thoughts
The smell on with this Lavender massage oil is just heavenly, it smells 100% like French lavender which is just lovely. Lavender has many benefits including helping to relax and getting a good nights sleep and thats what this massage oil is for; relaxing body and mind. With all those benefits in mind thats why me and my partner bought this because we have a busy schedule and relaxing time is a very special time for us both.

I am not the biggest fan in the world of the lavender scent but in this massage oil it was a nice relaxing smell and it was nice to world with too as it wasn't overly oily and it absorbed in the skin without any problems. While massaging my partners back he gets so relaxed with this he almost falls asleep because the smell is that soothing.

The price is £14 and may sound a little bit on the expensive side but honestly to me its worth every penny because it smells gorgeous and it has helped me and my partner relax and eventually actually get a good nights sleep which is brilliant  because we have busy schedule.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask | Review

the body shop purifying glow mask review
When it comes to skincare I would say 2016 was a major learning curb for me knowing what works well for my skin. My skin can be a bit on the fussy side because its combination skin so its mixture of dry and also quite oily in parts too, so finding products that help my skin can be a challenge. I have a little skincare regime now that usually works wonders for me now and I will have a post about that in the very near future so keep a look out for it. On that skincare list is this glow mask and while I'm on the subject of Glow mask, il tell you more about this face mask.

The Body Shop have a range of 5 difference types of face mask including: Himalayan Charcoal purifying glow mask, Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask, Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Mask, Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask and British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask. They are priced at £15 each and come in a very glamorous and sturdy jar.

the body shop Himalayan charcoal mask review
First Impressions
As soon as I seen this in The Body Shop I knew I had to have a glow mask! I wasn't sure which one to pick but the thing that brought me closer to it was the design of the jar, so whoever designed this, you have done a pretty amazing job; high five to you.

The thing that took the time for me choosing is that they are 5 different masks to choose from and I wanted to get the one that would go well with my skin type and also combat problem areas of my skin including; blackheads, large pores and dry patches. I ended up choosing the 'Himalayan Charcoal Glow Mask' this mask is made for skin that needs extra purification and also help give the skin a nice glow.

Application
Its suggested to apply this with a brush that looks like a foundation brush, they sell them in the body shop but for me personally I just used of my many makeup brushes and the one I chose was my real techniques foundation brush.

I dabbed my foundation brush into the glow mask and started to apply to my skin gently, I think altogether this took about 10 minutes to cover my entire face and it hardly made a dent in the jar.

the body shop face masks review
My Thoughts
After about 3 minutes my face started to tingle a little bit and it made my skin feel quite tight, it wasn't painful or anything like that but it was defiantly a weird sensation that was quite enjoyable at the same time because with that feeling it kinda give me the vibes that this product was actually working.

After the 15 minutes elapsed I washed it off in the shower with circular motions with warm water. It took a couple of minutes to get the mask off but I could feel the difference with my skin even after removing it. It made my skin feel purified and after looking in the mirror my pores looked reduced and my blackheads looked a lot better then they did before I put the mask on.

Once I got out the shower and gently dried my face with my towel I could see a vast difference in the quality of my skin. I would recommend to anyone who wants a bit extra from their face mask, this one is perfect for anyone who wants to draw out impurities, reduce appearance of pores and give their skin a glow. I can honestly say yes it does these things and even more so now that I have had it over a month now and have used it once a week since, it is the perfect skin pick me up.

The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquids | Review

the body shop matte lip liquid review
Hi Lovelies
I just LOVE shopping in The Body Shop but I must admit the things I usually buy when I am there are the skincare items or the perfume products and I have tended to finish buying before I even think about going to their beauty counter. For me personally I usually shop for makeup online or in boots so its something that has been missed more than a few times while shopping at the body shop or any other shop for that matter. I recently went to an event at The body Shop and it was all about their campaign on #junglebells and also a release of their new Christmas products. While at the event I had a chance to try a few of their products and I decided to start swatching some of the makeup products and I instantly fell in love!!! I just loved the eyeshadows, brushes and lipsticks and eventually after looking throughly at most of the makeup products I decided to try these lip liquids to give the body shop makeup a whirl.

The Body Shop offers a lot of different products including beauty, haircare and skincare products such as the body butters and hand creams. I will always love shopping here because it reminds me of shopping with my nana when I was about 12 years old.

Matte Liquid Lip Liquid - £6.00 /each

First Impressions
With so many liquid lipsticks available everywhere you turn I must admit these looked brilliant and could be a contender on how nice the bottle looks compared to brands such as lime crime and Jeffree star (fingers crossed I try both of these brands soon. The bottles are the same shade as the liquid lipstick inside which I think is a very nice feature to have. They also have floral names which is kinda of sweet too.

The Applicators aren't the most impressive I've seen but still they have a nice curved shape to help get an even coat on every area of the lip.

My Thoughts
Sydney Amaryllis 014
This is a coral red shade and the good thing about this red is that it contains no carmine which is a great thing to see so with that being said its say it is vegetarian friendly. Applying this was easy enough and I need to put on 2 coats to make sure it was 100% opaque. It went on like velvet and had no scent at all which is a bonus because some products can have overpowering scents.

Even though its said to be long lasting I can't 100% agree with it, it lasts about 3-4 hours before needing another application especially if you have hot food or drinks. The good thing is though it comes off easily and doesn't look streaky.

Tahiti Hibiscus 016
This one is more like a berry shade and applied pretty much the same way that 'Sydney Amaryllis did.  It had the same texture and no smell too it too. I tried putting two coats on with this one too but this was a lot streakier than the above so it kinda put me off this one a little bit which is a shame because I love the shade and it goes very well for the autumn/winter months.

This had about the same lasting time as the above but started to look a bit streakier and looked like it was coming off unlike the above.
the body shop matte liquid lipsticks

Pros
  • Affordable
  • 12 different shades to choose from
  • Vegetarian Friendly
  • No Carmine
  • No Gluten
  • Cruelty Free
Cons
  • Can be a little streaky so make sure you apply a lip scrub beforehand

The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Candle | Review

the body shoo vanilla chai candle review
Hi Lovelies
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far, I have had a nice weekend so far visiting my mum and family. I came over a little earlier than usual because we wanted to see my mums dog who has been recently diagnosed with cancer, so we wanted to spend some quality time with him and take some nice family pictures together. Anyway onto todays post as you all might know I am a bit candle mad, I think I have near on 20 candles in my flat at the moment. I just love the way they look and also how nice then can smell too.

I honestly didn't know that the body shop actually made candles until I went to a recent 'The body shop event in Glasgow' and thats where I got this one from. I also noticed they also do a few other candle scents as well including Green Tea and Lemon, Spiced Apple and Frosted berries. I was lucky enough to get this one in a goody bag when I went to the event. I have had it nearly a month now and I have used it a fair few times so I thought it was the right time to share my thoughts on this candle with you all.

The Body Shop Vanilla Chair Candle - £10
Paraffin free
Cruelty Free*

First Impressions
My first impressions with this were as follows; The box it was in is beautiful, it has a simple christmasy design which stands out so nicely. I was whole heartedly expecting the candle inside to have a similar design on it but no, it was just nothing at all. It was just a simple plain candle with no labels or nothing. I know I sound like I may be over reacting a bit but I have seen so many candles do so well with candle designs and I thought this would be quite similar since it costs £10 to buy.

Apart from that small disappointment it was a nice heavy jar and you can smell the vanilla chair scent straight away. It is a very nice sweet scent which isn't too powerful but nice and delicate. The scent matches the festive period so much because it is a very warming smell.

My Thoughts
Over the passed few weeks I have used this candle most days and I just love it and Il tell you all why I love it so much. Firstly its sturdy, I have had candles before and sometimes the glass feels very unsteady and it made me worry bit about breaking but this one feels strong and built to last. Secondly the scent it just gorgeous, it honestly gives Yankee Candle a run for its money. The smell has top nots of spicy chai which is cardamon and star anise and base notes which is a delicate vanilla scent which is vanilla extract from Madagascar.

It took about 20 minutes for the whole room to smell like this gorgeous candle and I could even smell it in my hallway too. The wick is thick and sometimes can be a right blooming pain to light but once its lit its fine and doesn't go out unless you want it too. The candle has very gentle glow and isn't to bright at all.
the body shop vanilla chai candle
Rating 4/5

Pros

  • Long lasting ( I still have over half after nearly a month using most days)
  •  Gentle light
  • Gorgeous smell of cardamon, star anise and vanilla
  • Feels strong and worth the price
  • Paraffin Free

Cons
  • Plain candle ( I know some people may like this but the box has a nice design and was expecting something similar  on the candle)

Have you tried The Body Shop candles before? What is your favourite candle brand/scent ?

My Winter Skincare Favourites

winter skincare favourites
Hi Lovelies
I know it may only be autumn right now but it sure doesn't feel like it! Here in Glasgow we have minus temperatures already and wow can you feel it on your skin. With the ridiculously cold temperatures in mind I have drastically changed my skincare routine to combat the cold brisk weather we are having at the moment. The key areas I like to make sure are 100% with my skin are keeping pores unclogged from pollution and old makeup; so keeping them clear is a must have for me. Then keep the moisture in skin is another; my skin can get quite dry in places and its even worse in the winter if I am not careful, so with all that in mind I choose my products that I keep near at hand.

The products I have chosen are different prices brackets so they are something for everyone. Anyway's all the products I have chosen are cruelty free and as I love to be totally honest with all of my lovely followers two of these products were gifted for me to try but never the less I love them regardless if they given or no.

Why Skincare is important to me
I must admit I was absolutely naff with using skincare products a few years ago, I don't think I used much at all apart from nivea and boy my skin didn't like that at all, I got a big reaction from one of their products and my face was sore for a few days after that.  I avoided anything for a while after that because I was worried about my skin reacting badly again to another skincare product. I think a big reason I didn't try more back then was also a lack of knowledge of different products and also the jobs different skincare products have.

The main thing that started me wanting to take care of my skin more was my daily makeup routine; I hear you all say why that? Well the reason for that was because taking makeup off after a long day everyday was really taking its toll on my skin. Thats the reason I take care of my skin so much now, I don't want my skin to be like before, I like to take extra special care of my skin. I am so glad I do because my skin is a lot softer and it is actually easier to apply and remove makeup now.

My favourite Winter skincare products
  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foam Cleanser ( £5.50) This is brilliant to use in the mornings as it feels very refreshing on the skin. It helps to cleanse blemished skin and also reduce oiliness and shine.
  • Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner ( Between £7.95 for 100ml and £13.95 for 225g) Vegan Now this is just heaven for anyone who love snow fairy showgel, it has exactly the same scent and even has similar shimmer in it too. This is a lush moisturiser not only does it make you smell lovely it helps keep skin soft too.
  • Dr Botanicals  Japenese orange superfood facial oil and night cream ( Under £20 each on sale) Vegan Out of all of the face moisturisers and oils I have tried this one smells the best, it has the most divine sweet orange scent. I use these both together at night time to give my skin the ultimate luxury. These are natural and are full of vitamins and essential fatty acids, its designed to combat dry skin and help skin look younger.
  • The Body Shop Frosted Berries Lip Balm ( £4.00)  I must say I love lots of different lip balms at the moment but this one won out the choices because it smells like Christmas, I know that might sound daft but it does because it has a very festive berry smell. Wearing a lip balm helps keep lips soft and stops getting them so dry in cold weather. Its also great for wearing a matte or liquid lipstick.
  • Nip + Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser (£14.95) Vegan This smells very refreshing like cucumbers, its also very light weight and glides onto the skin effortlessly. It contains aloe vera and shea butter to help smooth and improve skins texture.
  • Soap and Glory Hand Food ( £6.00) Vegan Honestly this is a heavenly smell of marshmallows and to me thats the perfect scent for winter as it reminds me of a hot chocolate. This hand cream features fennel and lotus flower extracts which helps to keep hands smooth.
  • Soap and Glory Heal Genius ( £5.50) Vegan This cream is so thick that you need to put socks on after you apply it, even though that sounds like a right pain it is so worth it because it help smooth feet. Its works wonders on the hard skin on my feet.
  • The Body Shop Body Butters ( £14.00) I can't say which scent I like the most because they all smell wonderful and they all work very well. These creams are luxurious and thick, they last for 24 which I think is amazing.
  • The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask ( £15.00) Vegan I just love having a face mask on and it usually doesn't matter which brand it is but I just love this one. This one is great at absorbing excess oil and purifies skin to give your skin a glow.

The Body Shop Haul | Glasgow Event

The Body Shop Haul and Glasgow Event
Hi Lovelies
I recently went to a blogger event at The Body Shop in Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow and while there we seen all the brand new Christmas range. The staff were very kind and told us all about all the products, they also had an skincare expert called Sharon who could help anyone with any questions about skincare. The event is the only second time I went to an event so it was a nice change and great place to meet other bloggers and try new products.

The Body Shop has added a lot of Christmas stuff in its range including new scents: the scents are as follows. Vanilla Chai, Frosted Berries and Spiced Apple. They come in a few forms such as shower gel, body butter, fragrance mist and  a few other things too.

Another amazing christmas product they have is beauty advent calendars. The last time I had an advent calendar was when I was a kid! I am so happy to see the many beauty options out now. The body shop offers the advent calendars in 3 different  sizes and prices. As well as the advent calendars they offer so many gift boxes too.

The Body Shop Christmas Range
What I bought

  • Bath Fizzers ( all 4 scents ) £1 / each - I tend to always go to Lush for  bath products but I thought I would have a nice little change and try these since they are adorable. The scents come in vanilla delight, candied plum, berry bliss and frosted flower.
  • Matte Liquid Lipsticks / £6 each - At the moment liquid lipsticks are so popular so I wanted to give these a whirl. I bought  Sydney amaryllis and Tahiti Hibiscus.
  • Himalayan Charcoal Glow Mask / £15 each - I love a good face mask so I just had to get this! This is great for unblocking pores and refreshing skin. The lady at the body shop recommending applying it with a brush so il be using a foundation brush with it haha.
  •  Vanilla Chai Candle / £10 each - I just love candles especially in the colder months. I have actually never got round to actually trying a body candle before but I am looking forward to giving this a try.
  • Spiced Apple Shower Gel / £5 each - Me and my partner love this shower gel already, we have tried it a few times since getting it. It has a spicy and a very subtle sweet scent to it.
  • French Lavendar Massage Oil / £14 each - My partner goes to wrestling training to the gym a lot each week so I got this to help relax his body after all the activities he does. I also use it to help me relax after a long day.
  • Frosted Berries Lip Balm / £4 - Defiantly one of my favourite buys of the day! This has a nice sweet delicate smell and helps keep lips soft.
  • Reggie Bath Sponge / £4 each - How adorable is this sponge, just love it

The Body Shop Heavy-Duty Lip Care Review

Hi Lovelies
'Winter is coming' as Ned Stark said in Game of Thrones! It really does feel like it now in the UK. sas its now autumn. In Autumn I like to change my skincare products to more heavy duty products because the colder weather does not do my skin any favours at all. When I was in my late teens I used no skincare products at all and my skin used to go red with the cold and my lips used to crack which was honestly horrible and sometimes quite painful too. My skincare regime has changed vastly over the years thankfully and I have found products that work well for me and the problems I had before are so much less now.

The Body Shop is one of my favourite shops at the moments because it has some amazing skincare products including the hemp hand protector cream which I just love and use most days. The hand cream was very thick and creamy and it honestly worked wonders on my hands, it keeps them soft and smelling gorgeous all day long. The hand cream is the main reason I wanted to try this Hemp lip balm.

the body shop heavy duty lip care review
Hemp Heavy Duty Lip Care - £4.00
Cruelty free
Vegetarian
Heavy duty hemp oil for dry skin
Gives natural looking sheen

About the lip balm
It has a very simple design like any other lip balm that you might see on the market with a design that you would expect to see from the body shop. The design is very similar to the other hemp products in the body shop so it should be easy to find when shopping for it.

This balm is made from community trade hemp seed oil from France and as you can tell by the name of the product its heavy duty and its especially for dry lips especially during the colder weather or for whenever you need it really. Hemp oil is infused with fatty acids.

My thoughts
I have used this product for most days which is usually at the start of the day and also at the end and I can say I love this lip balm. I was worried that it was going to have a horrible scent but I was wrong it is very pleasant and very mild and, the good thing about this too is that even if you get it in your mouth by accident it won't leave a horrible taste in your mouth.

I love the sheen it leaves on my lips after applying, its a great base for a lipstick or lipgloss. I am not sure if it makes a lipstick last longer but it helps apply it a lot more smoother then it would on bare lips. I have had no issues with dry lips and any sensitivity with this which is brilliant because my skin can be a bit sensitive at times.

My partner likes to use this too and he agrees it has a nice pleasant scent which isn't over the top and leaves his lips feeling soft ( he gets dry lips  easily and this balm has helped so much).

the body shop heavy duty lip care review
Rating
I would have to give this lip balm 10/10 because its such a good product and I am sure my partner would agree with me about that too. This balm is non sticky and glides onto lips like a dream and soaks into the lips without feeling greasy but leaving a nice sheen.  I would recommend this to anyone looking for a heavy-duty lip balm for the autumn/winter months.

September Beauty Favourites

september beauty favourites
Hi Lovelies
September was a great month for me because it had some beautiful longer warm days and those days slower got shorter and the evenings started to become cooler and you may be wondering why I love that? Well the reason I love it is because it signifies the start of Autumn. For me Autumn means lovely warm jumpers, spicy candles, halloween and also getting ever nearer to my favourite ever holiday ever and that is Christmas.

I usually struggled picking my monthly beauty favourites but for September it was no problem for me at all because all the products I choose were used way more then once during September and they are still being used by me now. I am so confident with my favourites that I decided to make my first ever Youtube video which I have included below, I hope you all enjoy it.

Beauty Favourites
The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector
Autumn and Winter can be a bit harsh to my hands so I love to use this hand cream as it keeps my hands feeling soft all year round. The smell of this is just gorgeous too and a little bit on my hands goes a long way. I put this on usually in the morning and it usually lasts me till the evening till I need to apply it agin.

Urban Decay Foundation
I absolutely love this foundation ever since I bought it in June, its great as it can give a decent coverage and its very easy to build up without feeling to heavy on the skin. It has a very mild fruity scent and it has a easy to use pump that can be used easily either with a foundation brush or my personal favourite a beauty blender. A little bit goes a long way with this foundation and I am happy to say it lasts all day combined with the urban decay all night makeup setting spray.

Astral all in one cream
This cream is a great muli-tasker as it can be used on the face and also as a body cream. This cream is used by my mum and my nana,  they are the ones who actually recommend this cream too me and I am glad they did. This cream is a great budget option and works as well as any other cream I have tried as it smells very nice, it goes onto the skin nicely without feeling sticky.

Makeup Revolution - It eats you up matte
This lipstick has been my all time favourite last month, I don't usually wear the same lipstick more then a couple of times a month but this one I wore most days because I love it so much. This lipstick is a gorgeous bright pink in a matte finish and it lasts so long without needing reapplied! I can't believe it only costs £2.50, its one of the best budget buys I have.

Makeup Revolution Fortunes Favours the Brave
Another makeup revolution product you say? well I absolutely love the brand because they have come cut so many gorgeous products and the palettes are just wow! This palette was designed with britishbeautyblogger and it has so many lovely neutral shade in it that are perfect for any occasion such as everyday use to a party look.

I hope you all enjoyed my video because I sure had fun making it, over the next few days and weeks I will be making more. This video is a little shaky in parts but I will be buying a tripod very soon. Anyways thanks for reading this post

The Body Shop Black Musk Oil Review

the body shop black musk oil review
the body shop black musk oil
Hi Lovelies
As much as I love perfume I don't buy it very often because far to many brands aren't cruelty free and I only know a handful of companies who don't test on animals such as the Lush and the body shop. I got this perfume called black musk oil from my latest body shop haul in which I got as a Eid gift from my lovely partner.

The Body shop has many fragrances to choose from and I honestly had a hard time choosing because I had a smell of most of them and most of them smelled gorgeous but I eventually settled on this one. The perfume come in many scents in different variations such as perfume, oil and shower gels.

Black Musk Perfume Oil  20ml - RRP £16

First Impressions
I love the way this perfume was packaged in a black and bright pink box, it opened like an expensive perfume and added to excitement of opening it. The bottle design is very nice too and reminds of retro perfume bottles and with that being said it looks gorgeous displayed on my dressing table. The applicator was a little bit of confusing thing for me as I thought it would be like a serum and deliver droplets but its just a simple clear plastic stick.

My Thoughts
On trying the perfume in the shop which I loved I thought I would give the oil a whirl because I've never ever tried  a perfume oil before and thought it would be pretty much the same as the perfume spray version. Applying this took a little bit of time because it only gives a little bit of product each time but it wasn't enough to put on both wrists so I had to apply separately and then rub together, applying to the neck was similar too. The smell was very nice and has sweet notes of banbinella pear, pink pepper and bergamot with fierce black musk.

As much as I love the smell of this perfume I don't think it lasts very long and was no where near as strong as the perfume version of this scent. I think I would buy this scent again but no in the oil form because I like to have a long lasting perfume and something thats easy to apply.

Rating
I would give this 7/10, I love the smell and the perfume bottle but for me personally I like a more long lasting scent and sprays are so much better for me. I also thought it was a little bit expensive seeing as its £16 for an 20ml oil and £24 for 100ml of the spray version.

The Body Shop Haul

The Body Shop Haul
Hi Lovelies
Its been ages since I last went to The Body Shop and I thought it was about time I treated myself to a few things and that opportunity to treat myself came around when it was Eid the other day. My lovely partner told me I could go to The Body Shop and choose what I wanted and I honestly was so excited and we ended up going that afternoon and thats when I chose these five products.

I've loved The Body Shop for as long as I can remember I can remember going uptown with my nana and we used to always go in and I used to love buying the strawberry soap. The Body Shop makes a variety of products such as skincare, beauty and home scents such as candles. Another great thing about The body shop is that they are cruelty free.

Hemp Heavy Duty Lip Care ( RRP £4.00)
Following on from how much I loved hemp hand protector I really wanted to try this to give a try. This is described as being a heavy duty lip care and I thought it would be a good thing to try seeing as its nearly autumn and before we know it winter will be here, so I want to prepare my lips for the cold and hopefully this will do the trick.

Black Musk Shower Gel ( RRP £6.50 )
I bought this as they was a 3 for 2 offer on and I really liked the scent of Black musk so thought I would give this a whirl.

Black Musk Perfume Oil ( RRP £16.00)
I have never tried perfume oils before but after looking at most of the perfumes in the shop I thought this one smelt the nicest and bought this one. I very rarely buy perfumes so this will go into my little collection very nicely.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser ( RRP £5.50)
I can't remember the last time I used a cleanser in my skincare regime so I thought it was about time I included one in my routine. This one is formulated for everyday use and to be gentle on blemished skin which is great for me so hopefully it works.

Double Ended Blackhead Remover (RRP £4.00)
I have some blackheads on my lip that are a pain to get rid of and also some on my nose  so hopefully this will do the trick

Keep an eye out for future updates on these items on my blog and also on my social media which can be found at the bottom of this post and on my right hand side bar.
