First Impressions | Healthista Products

I was kindly emailed a couple of months ago by 'Healthista' but unfortunately for me it was held in London and I can't really travel that far especially with short notice but the kind people at 'Healthista' decided to send me some of their products to try out to see what I thought of them and me being on a fitness journey I just jumped on the opportunity.

I will give you all a little insight on what Healthista is all about and basically a feel good website that has info on various subjects including; health, happiness, fitness, sex + love and also looks. On the website they also have a shop which has lots off different health food including their own which is protein, supplements and health foods. I was kindly sent the following products but I have only tried two of them because I like to have a vegan/dairy free diet, I gave the other one to my partner. The products include; lean vegan diet chocolate and night food.
healthista product review
Seeing as this is a first impressions post I will give you a brief destruction of the products and my thoughts on each of the products so far. To see what I think of them fully then the blog post for that will be in a couple of weeks because I want to use all the products up to give them my final verdict.

healthista lean vegan protein
Healthista Lean Vegan Chocolate - £24.99
This is a nutritionally balanced vegan food supplement which can help assist weight-loss. It is made from pea, rice, hemp and sunflower powder. This can be taken as a shake or in food like porridge, smoothie or anything you like really.

I just love how this tastes very nice and how very different from other protein powders that I have tried in the past, it has a nice spicy element to it that kinda reminds me of a gingerbread man/cake. I am not a big fan of drinking protein shakes I prefer to put them on food and this works wonderfully well with soy milk and porridge! Its so warming and I defiantly recommend it.

healthista night food
Healthista Night Food - £18.95
This is an antioxidant blend with a calming blend of chamomile, lemon balm, cinnamon and ginger. All of these ingredients help support the nervous system, balance blood sugar and  also help promote relaxation.

This tastes very nice but I can't personally drink it just as it is as it has quite a strong taste for me. I think il try it with my own cereal bars soon.

I will be posting more and more fitness posts in the near future and also on my Instagram so follow me on their for updates.

Lush The Kiss Lip Scrub | Review

lush the kiss lip scrub
The Kiss?...

Hi Lovelies
Lush make some absolutely spectacular products from bath products, skincare and makeup and so far I have just loved all of their lip scrubs I have tried. I was pretty much sold on this lip scrub because I just loved the name 'The Kiss' and it matched quite nicely with the Valentine's Day collection, not only that inside of it has little hearts which is darn cute. ( they are edible too).

Lip scrubs are literally a must have to anyones makeup collection, they are great for keeping your lips soft and moisturised and another reason is they make matte or liquid  lipsticks last that extra bit longer. I remember applying liquid/matte lipsticks before using a lip scrub and it was so much dryer and cracked and looked dry before long, lip scrubs took care of that and keep my lipsticks looking smooth and easier to apply.

Lush the kiss lip scrub review
First Impressions
I just had to get this because I love pink and the fact it had red hearts inside just made 'switch on' in my brain to actually get this. I love trying different seasonal products because they aren't available all year round. I didn't not want to get this incase I regretted not giving it a try.

This lip scrub 3 essential ingredients which are; Sicilian Mandarin Oil , Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter and Fine Sea Salt. Now I wasn't sure once I got this home if these ingredients would go together well, I waited till I tried it to give it my full verdict.

When I opened the lid the first thing I could smell was the Sicilian oil which was had a nice sweet element to it. Inside also was bright pink with lots of red fine salt hearts.

Caster Sugar, Sunflower Oil(Carthamus tinctorius), Fine Sea Salt, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Red Edible Hearts and Soft Pink Glimmer Lustre,(Hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose, PEG 400, Sodium carboy methyl cellulose, Corn Starch, Maltodextrin, Potassium Aluminium Sillcate, Colour 16255), Sicilian Mandarin Oil (Citrus Noblis), Almond Essential Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Amara), Cornflour (Zea mays). Geraniol, Limonene, Flavour, Colour 15850:1

lush the kiss lip scrub reviewFinal Thoughts
You know something I honestly don't like giving bad reviews because honestly I really love about 95%of Lush products. I will give you the good points about this but I will give my honest opinions on why this isn't my favourite too because you know something I like to be honest with my readers.

The Good; As with all lush lip scrubs this is very moisturising and a little bit goes along way with this.

The not so good for me; Now I have tried this a few times and I do love the Sicilian mandarin oil but once you get the salt heart on lips, it doesn't taste very pleasant (my own personal opinion). I honestly can't say I like the combination unfortunately and either does my partner.

Steak Cattle and Roll | Glasgow

steak cattle and roll glasgow review
Hi Lovelies
I must admit I just love a good *Veggie* Burger and usually it can be a right pain to actually find a restaurant that actually sells vegan/vegetarian options. Most veggie burgers I have tried before in the past didn't have dairy free cheese or nice sauces and as you can all kinda guess it makes a burger pretty darn dry if you don't have those things. I went out my way to actually find a restaurant that sold a decent variety of vegan/vegetarian burgers and thats where I found Steak Cattle and Roll.

Steak Cattle and Roll is very near to Glasgow central on Sauchiehall Street. It offers a variety of different food from burgers, salads and delicious dairy free milkshakes. Its not 100% vegan/vegetarian but it offers a lot of different vegan options on the menu, I for one for spoiled for choice on what to actually order because everything looks so darn yummy.

steak cattle and roll menu glasgow
321 Sauchiehall Street
G2 3HW

The Restaurant
It really reminds me of a 50s style diner with a modern twist. They are lots of seats too choose from including booths, classic chairs and a bar area, so lots too chose from if visiting by yourself, going with your friend/partner or group.  The decor is pleasant and the music isn't too loud either so its a great backing sound for when your'e eating and talking with company.

The restaurant can be reached fairly easily its on a main road so it be reached by car, walking or getting the bus. Its on the main road of sauichiehall street lots to other restaurants/bars and nightclubs.

 The Food
You really are spoiled for choice here as the restaurant has lots of hearty comfort food to choose from the food isn't going to win you in points for being the healthiest food in the world but it is great food to have as a treat or for when going out.

The menu has everything marked out simply so you know what you  are buying and its suitable for vegan or vegetarians. Its also marked clearly with the price. They have two menus; one for food and the other is for desserts and drinks.

Food choices *veggie options*
  • Burgers
  • Wraps
  • Salad
  • Fries & Sides
  • Nachos
Drinks & Desserts
  • Soda
  • Alcohol including wine
  • Hot drinks
  • Shakes including alcohol versions
  • Selection of cakes including a vegan option

steak cattle and roll Glasgow
What I ordered
The Classic Vegan Burger
This burger has a vegan burger topped with vegan mozzarella, served with salsa, rocket and red slaw with pan fried onion and bun.

The burger itself tasted divine, each bite was heavenly but as much as I loved eating this burger I could not pick it up to eat, I had to cut it into quarters so I could eat it. Even after all that it made a little bit of a mess so I would recommend getting a napkin or two. The burger is very filling and I ended up taking the rest of it home and having it later on in the evening, they put the rest of the burger in a  box neatly which is great if you can't finish it all.

Even though I loved the salad in this burger I think it was a touch OTT but you know its each to their own really. I loved this burger and the combination of the slaw, salsa and vegan mozzarella made this burger absolutely divine with its sweet/savoury elements.

Seasoned chips
HEAVEN IN A BASKET; no seriously if you love chips then you will love these chips. They are chips with skin left on so they have a bit of crunch and lots of flavour.

They are so many chips in the basket they can be shared which is great if you are going out with friends/family.

Things I loved

  • Very friendly staff; We were welcomed very quickly when we got to the restaurant and we got to choose out of the chair which we would like and once we were seated we got menus and a decent amount of time to choose drinks and order food.
  • Comfortable seating; Honestly you will be surprised how many restaurants have uncofertable seating. This restaurant has very comfy seating especially the booth seating.
  • Lots of vegan/vegetarian options; Usually going to a restaurant only has a few options but this place has so many options including food, desserts and drinks

Caketoppers Photo Cupcakes | Review

Hi Lovelies
When it comes to anything sweet I am defiantly a fan because I just love all things cake, chocolate/sweets and desserts. I usually like to bake every now and again but I also like to buy cakes from other places too from time to time because I like to try new things out. I was very lucky to be contacted by the lovely people at Caketoppers to review these adorable cupcakes. The picture on the cupcakes is my mums gorgeous Airedale Terrier Ben.

The cupcakes above are photo cupcakes and to get them like that I sent the picture to them in an email and they put it on the cupcakes and I got them within 1 days! So a very fast service. The cupcakes come in classic and chocolate

My Thoughts
Honestly I have never tried a cupcake like it! It was defiantly different experience eating something that has a photo on it but once I got over the a fact it has actually an edible photo I was fine with it. The chocolate cupcake is in the gold wrapper and trust me it was blooming delicious with a thick but smooth layer of chocolate below the photo and underneath that was a soft chocolate sponge. It had to be the softest yummy cupcake I have ever tried, it was honestly heavenly! I was disappointed when it was finished haha.

The classic cupcake is in the silver cupcake case and it is a more traditional recipe cupcake which brought me back to the days when I used to bake with my nana. The cupcake has a lovely vanilla layer of icing followed by a fluffy vanilla sponge, this was equally as delicious as the chocolate cupcake.

I would totally recommend them to anyone especially if you are planning a party or something like that, since you can put any design on them you can be as creative as you want to be with these cupcakes. They also offer photos on cakes as well as the cupcakes and prices from them are £35.

My Thoughts on EcoTools Makeup Brushes

ecotools makeup brushes review
Hi Lovelies
When it  comes to makeup brushes I am quite picky and sticking with one particular kind of brush set is defiantly not me at all. Personally I like to try different brands to see what results each brands have. In the case of why I bought these brushes the answer is I was visiting my mums for the weekend and once I was there I realised that I totally forgot to bring my makeup brushes with me ( whoops silly me ) so I wanted to get some quickly so I went to my local ASDA and once there I seen these in my makeup section for under £8. Since they were so budget friendly I decided to give them a whirl and I've been using them for the past month to give my full and very fair verdict on them.

EcoTools is defiantly a brand I have heard of before but just haven't got round to using until recently. EcoTools is a brand that has been around for nearly 10 years now and they make makeup brushes which are made out of recycled bamboo, they also make other products such as bath products and hair brushes. All of EcoTools products are also cruelty free, vegetarian and vegan friendly
eco tools 6 piece makeup set review
eco tools makeup brushes review
First Impressions
I was quite impressed at how many brushes I got in this packet, not only that it comes with a gorgeous green hemp cotton travel cotton carry case which I just love ( they are still in there now waiting for me to go use them at my mums house )

The Six Piece Starter Set Includes
  • 1x Blush Brush
  • 1x Eye Shading Brush
  • 1x Angled Eyeliner Brush
  • 1x Concealer Brush
  • 1x Lash and Brow Groomer
  • 1x Hemp Cotton Carry Case

The Six Piece Set and Uses
I know brushes are used for certain jobs but sometimes I use them for other makeup tasks too because they can be pretty great at multitasking.
  • Blush Brush - This brush was so delectable and ever so soft! I use it to apply blushers and also highlighters. For highlights its great for going over blusher to give your skin a nice glow.
  • Eye shading Brush - I used this for lots of different eyeshadow looks but thought it worked best at blending eyeshadows together.
  • Angled Eyeliner Brush - I didn't use this as an eyeliner brush because I much prefer to use liquid or gel liners. I used this to shade in my eyebrows with dry eyebrow makeup, it worked pretty well doing that job.
  • Concealer Brush -  This has to be the most softest concealer brush I have ever tried! Believe me has a delight to actually use it. It blends in concealer perfectly. Its also great for contouring as it is so easy to use.
  • Lash and Brow Groomer - I used to have one of these before but it disappeared so I am super glad this makeup brush set had one in it. This is great for brushing brows just before applying any brow makeup. I also use it to tame my brows before I tweeze my brows and it works wonderfully well for that! If you check my photos on Instagram you will see the difference its made.
  • Hemp Cotton Carry Case -  This is the perfect size for travelling as it can easily fit in a medium/large size handbag. I love the colour and design of this carry case.

My Thoughts
I really like using these brushes and they are perfect to travel with since they include a very handy travel carry case. As much as I enjoyed using these makeup brushes I can't say they are my favourite brushes in the world because they are very light weight, I am so used to using heavier brushes that are a little easier to control.  The design is gorgeous, I really love the colour of these brushes. The handles are bamboo and the metal round the bristles of the brush is a lovely recycled aluminium. The bristles are super soft but they do take a little longer to get enough makeup on them.

I really like all the brushes and they will be used every time I go travelling. My favourites from this are the blush brush and the eyebrow groomer for reasons I explained above.

Now the big question is ' Would I buy from EcoTools again?' The answer is a definite yes because they offer so many types of brushes in nice designs too. The company gets a high 5 from me for being a company that use recycled products to make products and thats one thing that needs to be done more of now with so much waste in the world today.
Rating 8/10

  • Made out of recycled materials
  • Cruelty Free
  • Vegan and Vegetarian friendly
  • Come with a carry case ( perfect for travelling)
  • Nice designs
  • Budget Friendly

  • Not a con for everyone but they are lightweight
  • Takes a few times for enough makeup on the brush

Can be found in ASDA I think, I also found them online too
  • EcoTools
  • Feel unique
  • Boots

Have you tried EcoTools before? If so what have you tried?

Pure Chimp Matcha Green Tea Review

Pure Chimp Matcha green tea review
 Hi Lovelies
When it comes to green tea, I really have to be in the mood to drink it because I have a love/hate relationship with the taste of it even though I know they are many health benefits of drinking it. I have heard of Matcha Tea over the years and how its like having 10 cups of green in one go, so I have always wanted to see how it tastes and to see if it's actually a better taste than green tea.

Pure Chimp is a Matcha Tea shop and they sell lots of matcha tea products such as Tea, matcha whisk, gift sets and also skincare items too. All the Matcha is 100% natural and the brand itself is vegan society certified. An added bonus with shopping at pure chimp is they have loyalty points so you can save money in the long run.

Pure chimp also donate 5% of there profits to charity and the they also have free delivery on there products too!
pure chimp matcha green tea
How I Enjoy Matcha
There are many ways to enjoy matcha, including baking with it but I enjoyed mine as a warm milky soya matcha tea drink. Firstly I put half a teaspoon of matcha tea in my cup followed by half a cup hot water, I then mix in a teaspoon of honey and once thats melted in I fill the rest of the cup with soya milk and once again I mix it to make sure the matcha tea is dissolved.

It tastes amazing and I can honestly say it tastes a lot more delicate than green tea bags taste. Matcha tea is very similar to green tea but  specially grown/processed green tea, so instead of being in a tea bag form its in a fine powdered form instead, so you get the full benefit of the matcha when you will only be getting part from the green tea, tea bags.

Benefits of Matcha Tea
  • Skin friendly antioxidants ( 100 times more than green tea)
  • Affordable at only 20p per serving ( half a tea spoon a cup)
  • Low caffeine at 35mg per serving
  • Can be used in baking
  • Can be stored for up to 18 months

You can see what they have to offer here, they also have a sale on at the moment because its there 3rd birthday.

Tantrum Doughnuts | Glasgow

Tantrum Doughnuts review
Hi Lovelies
When it comes to doughnuts I am very much like  Homer Simpson! Ever since I can remember I have went to Tesco and bought the pink doughnuts with the sprinkles on them. Since then I have discovered more types of doughnuts than the usual ones I like such a krispy kreme which have many different flavours to choose from, my favourite at the moment is the nutella doughnut which is just delicous. I recently discovered another gem for  my doughnut book and its a doughnut shop in Glasgow called Tantrum Doughnuts.

I first spotted Tantrum doughnuts on trip advisor on the top 10 bakeries in Glasgow and the name of the place just drew me in. I honestly feel like the cookie monster when he sees cookies except its doughnuts with me. The shop was first opened in late 2015 and is like a small coffee shop with hot drinks, smoothies and lots of different types of doughnuts to choose from.

Tantrum Doughnuts review
The coffee shop is placed on a side street on old Dumbarton road.
35 Dumbarton Road
G3 8RD

The Shop
Its a very small coffee shop but it does have seating inside if you are looking to visit with a friend or someone ;). They are also dog friendly so its nice place to go for coffee and to bring your dog along after a walk.

I bought 4 doughnuts and a slush. The doughnuts are fresh and made in small batches and are hand crafted not made by machines, so once they run out for the day thats it.

The Food
They had an impressive choice of hot drinks, milkshakes, slushies and doughnuts. They are displayed so its a little bit easier to choose which ones you would like. They have the names next to them and the prices for eating in or taking away and of course the prices of the doughnuts. On the wall is the drinks menu and also the price list alongside.

Doughnut choices
  • Blueberry old fashioned, Lemon glaze with crystallised basil
  • Raspberry Jam Filled
  • Pistachio and Hibiscus Ring
  • Almond Old Fashioned
  • Peanut Butter & Jelly
  • Chocolate and Hazelnut filled with cinnamon sugar
  • Orange and Vanilla Ring
  • Maple Candied Bacon and Puffed Pork Crackling
  • Black Forest Gateau
  • Vanilla Creme Brûlée

Tantrum Doughnuts Glasgow
What I bought
  • Morello Cherry Slushie - This was made out of ice and cherries and it had 4 large soft morello cherries in it, it also had a bit of mint on it as a garnish. This was very refreshing compared to other slushies I have tried before because usually they are just artificial. This one tasted lovely and 100% like cherry, the mint complimented this very well.
  • Peanut Butter & Jelly Doughnut - This was filled with raspberry jam and topped off with swirled peanut butter and chopped peanuts. I loved the taste of this but it was a little rich for me on myself so I shared this with my partner. My partner loved this doughnut the most because one of his favourite sandwiches is peanut butter and jelly.
  • Chocolate and Hazelnut filled cinnamon sugar Doughnut - This doughnut was covered in cinnamon sugar and the centre was filled with delicious hazelnut chocolate. This honestly gave nutella a run for its money, it was simply heavenly as the cinnamon and chocolate went together perfectly.
  • Blueberry Cheesecake Crumble (not available anymore :( ) - This was topped with a lovely soft crumble and inside was a blueberry filling which was just gorgeous. This was one of my favourites and I hope they bring it back one day because it was lovely.
  • Pistachio and Hibiscus Ring - This one was my absolute favourite! I would never of thought of the combination like this would be nice but it was way better then nice it was just so yummy! The combination of the sweet hibiscus and the nutty pistachio was one of my favourite doughnut combinations ever.

Tantrum Doughnut

Things I loved
  • The selection of doughnuts on offer and not just that also the combinations of flavours they have are just yummy.
  • Mostly vegetarian - the only things not vegetarian are the marshmallows, the maple candied bacon and pork crackling doughnut.
  • They are made fresh everyday by hand, not machines
  • Dog friendly :)

Fitness Journal Week Seven

Hi Lovelies
I know its been a few weeks since I last posted but I am back on track with my weekly fitness journal  updates. I don't want to make excuses for myself but I haven't been feeling right the past couple of weeks because my hormones have been a little on the high side so Ive had a couple of trips to the doctors and blood tests which hasn't been pleasant to put into words. I still need to go again for another blood test, so fingers crossed Il have more answers then.

I haven't been giving my goals a 100% as I should of but I did still go to the gym as much as possible and go for long walks. I am still feeling motivated to get to my goals, the journey make take longer but I'm looking forward to the journey.
fitness journal week seven

Food Diary
In the mornings I have usually had porridge with soy milk or toast if I am in a rush, I know toast isn't always the healthiest option but I do tend to buy wholemeal bread plus I usually have a banana with it.

For lunch I usually make my own vegetable soup and at the moment my favourite potato and leek soup, its delicious and also warming which is a bonus in this cold and wet weather. For dinner I usually have lots of vegetables with either veggie sausages or a homemade curry.

Snacks have been a little on the junk food side, I think I've eaten way to many crisps and stuff but il try and reduce that for next week.

Fitness Diary
I am actually happy with the amount I have been walking the past few week, I can improve on it but you know I am on a journey not a race.  I haven't been to the gym as much as I would like but the times I have went I have been improving my cardio and planks ( I can do it longer than my partner now haha)

Favourite Motivation Songs
  • Antidote - Swedish House Mafia
  • We will rock you - Queen
  • Perfect Illusion - Lady Gaga

Goals for next week
  • Keep myself motivated
  • Go to the gym more
  • Eat better

Until next week

Superdrug Hair Therapy Oil with Macadamia Review

superdrug hair oil vegan
Hi Lovelies
If you have been following my blog over the past few months you may of noticed I took the plunge to dye my hair back to my original hair colour blonde. I must say  it was a mighty big job for the hairdressers and suprisingly after one trip to the hairdressers my hair is almost completely blonde now but I have paid the price from dying my hair from midnight blue to blonde highlights. My hair now needs a lot more care and attention and my hairdresser recommend to me to use a good deep conditioner and a hair oil to help keep the hair soft and not to dry out too much seeing as its been through a lot.

Over the years I have tried many hair oils including Aveda, john frieda and TIGI. Most I have used before haven't made much of a difference apart from the Aveda one but for me its a little bit on the expensive side so I went out of my way to find something similar that was also budget friendly and thats when I found this macadamia oil in super drug. It was a decent price and I couldn't wait to give it a whirl on my hair.
superdrug hair therapy oil with macadamia review
Superdrug Hair Therapy Oil with Macadamia  - £3.99
Available online and in store
Suitable for dry/damaged hair
Cruelty Free

What superdrug says
They say this oil has been specially made for people with dry hair and the features of this are that its supposed to help improve and repair hair with benefits of naturally leaving hair strengthen and repaired.

First Impressions
This was in the hair care section in superdrug, next to lots of other hair care products. It didn't stick out to me at first but it was one of the only cruelty free choices and also an affordable choice which is always a winning choice for me.

The bottle is nice and simple with a typical pump on top which is good. The design is simple enough with all the information on the product you need to know.

My Thoughts
My haircare routine consists of me using a blonde hair shampoo and conditioner, then towel drying it before putting on a heat protection spray then I style as usual which it usually just blow drying my hair then straightening my hair,  after that I use a hair oil and obviously this time I used this oil. This oil has a nice pleasant smell which actually reminded me of the aveda hair oil. I used about 3-4 pumps on my hair and it soaked into my hair very quickly without leaving it greasy or any left over on my hands.

I wouldn't go as far to say its the best hair oil in the world but it does the trick keeping my hair tamed and softer for longer. I applied this twice a day because I think it works better that way maintaining my hair. I would buy it again because it works really well for my hair especially with the fact my hair has been dyed many times.

  • Budget friendly
  • Can be used on wet or dry hair
  • Can be used anytime when needed
  • Has a  pleasant macadamia smell
  • Helps dry and damaged hair
  • Cruelty free
  • Vegan/Vegetarian
  • None, just wish the was a bigger bottle because my partner loves it too.

What are your favourite haircare products?

The Body Shop Heavy-Duty Lip Care Review

Hi Lovelies
'Winter is coming' as Ned Stark said in Game of Thrones! It really does feel like it now in the UK. sas its now autumn. In Autumn I like to change my skincare products to more heavy duty products because the colder weather does not do my skin any favours at all. When I was in my late teens I used no skincare products at all and my skin used to go red with the cold and my lips used to crack which was honestly horrible and sometimes quite painful too. My skincare regime has changed vastly over the years thankfully and I have found products that work well for me and the problems I had before are so much less now.

The Body Shop is one of my favourite shops at the moments because it has some amazing skincare products including the hemp hand protector cream which I just love and use most days. The hand cream was very thick and creamy and it honestly worked wonders on my hands, it keeps them soft and smelling gorgeous all day long. The hand cream is the main reason I wanted to try this Hemp lip balm.

the body shop heavy duty lip care review
Hemp Heavy Duty Lip Care - £4.00
Cruelty free
Heavy duty hemp oil for dry skin
Gives natural looking sheen

About the lip balm
It has a very simple design like any other lip balm that you might see on the market with a design that you would expect to see from the body shop. The design is very similar to the other hemp products in the body shop so it should be easy to find when shopping for it.

This balm is made from community trade hemp seed oil from France and as you can tell by the name of the product its heavy duty and its especially for dry lips especially during the colder weather or for whenever you need it really. Hemp oil is infused with fatty acids.

My thoughts
I have used this product for most days which is usually at the start of the day and also at the end and I can say I love this lip balm. I was worried that it was going to have a horrible scent but I was wrong it is very pleasant and very mild and, the good thing about this too is that even if you get it in your mouth by accident it won't leave a horrible taste in your mouth.

I love the sheen it leaves on my lips after applying, its a great base for a lipstick or lipgloss. I am not sure if it makes a lipstick last longer but it helps apply it a lot more smoother then it would on bare lips. I have had no issues with dry lips and any sensitivity with this which is brilliant because my skin can be a bit sensitive at times.

My partner likes to use this too and he agrees it has a nice pleasant scent which isn't over the top and leaves his lips feeling soft ( he gets dry lips  easily and this balm has helped so much).

the body shop heavy duty lip care review
I would have to give this lip balm 10/10 because its such a good product and I am sure my partner would agree with me about that too. This balm is non sticky and glides onto lips like a dream and soaks into the lips without feeling greasy but leaving a nice sheen.  I would recommend this to anyone looking for a heavy-duty lip balm for the autumn/winter months.

What is you're favourite lip balm for the autumn/winter months?

The Handmade Burger Co | Glasgow

Hi Lovelies
This is a very long overdue post but I've finally got round to posting about my experience going to The Handmade Burger Co. I have heard lots of positive things about this place so its  been on my list of restaurants I have wanted to visit. When me and my partner we look for two things one being a place that offers a decent variety of vegetarian food and a place my partner will like too and he's a not vegetarian so he likes a lot of choices and as we are both muslim it has to have options too.

The handmade burger co has many restaurants up and down the UK including the one I went too which was in Silverburn Glasgow. UK. They have a decent size menu including vegetarian and vegan options. They also have a kids menu which has 2 halal option and 1 vegan option.

The Restaurant
Me and my partner loved the design and the seating was comfortable with a decent amount of leg room too. The table was sturdy which is fab because Ive been to places before and the table keeps moving. The menus were very big and simple to read and I found what I wanted to order easily and so did my partner.

The service
We didn't wait long for a table, the waiter took us over to our chairs with a friendly smile on his face handing us our menus. When we were ready to order my partner went to the till to pay and order the food and drinks and they came within him sitting down which I think is brilliant

The Food
Me and my partner ordered the veg-mex burger because we both have a love of spicy food. We also ordered the sweet potato fries and rosemary salt seasoned chips. We waited for the food not longer then 15 minutes and as you can see by the pictures the food is displayed very nicely

As much as I want to say its the best burger I have had I can't, it was a nice burger but for the price it wasn't what I expected and it fell to bits far to easily and it could of done with a spicy burger sauce in it as it was a little bit too dry. The fries and the chips tasted lovely and overall we both enjoyed our meals and most likely would visit here again but would try something different next time.

Things I love

  • Lots of different burgers to choose from
  • Many vegan, vegetarian options including desserts
  • Friendly staff
  • Nice atmosphere
  • Kids menu

Nutribuddy 14 day weight loss kit

nutribuddy weight loss kit
Hi Lovelies
Seeing as I am on a fitness journey I thought it would be a wonderful idea to try the Nutribuddy weight loss kit, the one I have is the 14 day kit. I am aiming to loose 3 stone eventually and I have high expectations this will help me start my journey to my goals. Over the past couple of years I have gained a bit of weight but recently I've been going to the gym most days and also aiming to do at least my 10,000 daily steps.

The Nutribuddy weight loss kit comes in 3 different options depending on what you are looking for and they are as follows: 7 days, 14 days and 30 days. Each of the plans include a shaker bottle and sculpting whey in either vanilla or chocolate and also hunger fix and multivitamin tablets.  All the products from Nutribuddy are vegetarian and the hunger fix and multivitamin tablets are vegan. They also contain a very handy weight loss book and delicious recipe book included in each plan.

nutribuddy sculpting whey
Nutribuddy Sculpting Whey
This is made out of whey protein which is high in protein which helps you keep fuller for longer to help you steer clear of unhealthy snacks ( I hope this helps me cut down on the biscuits) seeing as it keeps you fuller for longer. This is for a meal replacement or a snack replacement.

This shake is 100% natural which is great  to hear because Ive see some whey products they have so many ingredients in them. It contains green tea and gunrana which help boost the metabolism. This shake is only 115 calories a serving.
nutribuddy multivitamins
 Nutribuddy Multivitamins
We all know the benefits of multivitamins  and how they can help with general health and can also aid in weight loss. The thing I love about these is that they are suitable for vegetarians and vegan alike! so many multivitamins I have seen in supermarkets contain gelatine boo!!! So it nice to see these are gelatine free.

nutribuddy hunger fix

Lush Halloween Collection

Lush halloween collection
Hi Lovelies
The Halloween collection has finally landed at Lush and they have so many spooky products to choose from (most are bath bombs) In this post I will list them all and also tell you all about the products I chose. As you can tell by the above picture that I pretty much bought everything from the collection because I couldn't resist because it all looked amazing and seeing as Halloween is only next month this collection may not last too long, so I wanted to try the ones I liked the look of incase they don't become permanent.

Little fact before I start the post .... this is the first time I've tried anything from the Halloween range even though I love Halloween and Lush.

What I bought
  • Boo Bath Melt - £3.50 - This is shaped like a cute little ghost and the four key ingredients in this are cocoa butter, ginger oil, geranium oil and mimosa absolute.
  • Monsters' Ball Bath Bomb - £4.25 - Love the name and love of this! its so darn adorable isn't it, I really don't want to use this haha. The four key ingredients in this are lime oil, neroli oil, olibanum oil and fair trade cocoa butter.
  • Autumn Leaf Bath Bomb - £3.75 - I really love the look of this because it has all the colours of autumn in this leaf, Im sure this will make an amazing display in the bath. The 4 key ingredients in this are neroli oil, sandalwood oil, Japanese maple sap and bergamot oil.
  • Pumpkin Bath Bomb £3.95 - When I usually think of pumpkins during halloween they are usually scary but this one has a little smiley face which looks nice. The 2 ingredients in this one are pimento oil and vanilla absolute.
  • Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar £3.95 - Another pumpkin but this one is sparkly and in a bubble bar form. The lady at lush suggested I try it because its amazing so I thought I'd give it a whirl. The 3 key ingredients in this are juniper berry oil, lime oil and grapefruit oil.
