Australian Bodycare Skin wash | Review

Skincare is super important to me and I just love trying out different skincare products and 'Australian Bodycare' is a new brand to me and I was very happy to give this a whirl.  This product contains tea tree oil which has to be on of my favourite ingredients as it smells gorgeous and it has brilliant properties such as it deep cleans the skin and kills bacteria.

I have tried other tea tree oil products before such as the body shops tea tree foam cleanser and I just loved it as it refreshed and cleansed my skin beautifully. I first remember using tea tree oil when I got my belly button pierced many years ago now haha.
austrialian bodycare review
Australian Bodycare has been a leader in tea tree oil products since 1992 and has a variety of high quality different products including; lotions, creams and balms. I contacted them to see if they were cruelty free and vegan and they confirmed via tweet that they were both, happy days! 🌱🐇

The packing of this is nice and simple with a lovely blue background and bold writing with the name of the brand and also the info of the product. Since this is a daily facial wash I like to use this in the morning to refresh my skin and oh my goodness the scent of the tea tree is just out their and clears the air and helps wake me up. The texture is quite thick but its very easy to apply and I just apply it like my usual skincare products.

Australian body care skin wash review
I really like this skin wash as it helps keep my skin clearer especially round my nose as thats the area my of my face that I tend to get spots but since using this its reduced the amount I have. My partner enjoys using this too as he works in the gym so he likes to have his face looking fresh and clean, he actually wants me to repurchase this as he finds it non drying and very long lasting too.

Prices for this start at £8.25 for 100ml and comes in various different sizes, for more info on this product and more products from 'Australian Bodycare' click here.

Barry M Coconut Infusion Flamingo | Review

Flamingos as you can tell by my blog name are something I love and if you came to my house you would understand how much! I have pretty much flamingo everything from cushions, throws to cups; yep flamingos are a big part of my life because I just love them.

It has been many months since I last bought a nail paint because to be honest I didn't wear it as much as I usually do but that all changed when I went shopping. I spotted a Barry M makeup counter and this nail paint stood out to me and can you guess why? Well of course.. its called 'Flamingo'.
barry m coconut infusion flamingo
Flamingo is a beautiful coral pink shade and its also got a lovely glossy effect to it too. The coconut infusion is defiantly something worth mentioning; its enriched with anti-oxidising  properties with strengthening benefits of hexanal and also vitamins A and C which help repair and replenish nails.

I applied two coats of 'Flamingo' to give it this opaque effect but it did look enough at one coat but me being me, I like to be sure. I did not apply a top coat to this because they look beautifully glossy without it but if you want them to last a little extra I would recommend using a glossy top coat.
barry m coconut infusion flamingo
They are 19 shades to choose from in the coconut infusion range and this is the second one I have bought and each of them I have loved. They are long lasting and are lovely and glossy as well. I am so tempted to get  the rest of them in the range because they all look fab. These cost £5 each and I think they are great value as the above points above.

Barry M is Cruelty Free and this nail paint is also Vegan too. 🐇🌱

Too Faced Melted Metals Lipsticks | Review

too faced melted metals lipsticks
I just love lipsticks without a shadow of a doubt but finding a premium cruelty free lipstick can be a bit of a pain if you haven't done your homework beforehand. I have done some digging and found out that lots of different products from Too Faced are not only cruelty free, they are also vegan too. With those thing in mind I couldn't believe my luck when I seen a bunch of different products from too faced in my local TK Maxx including these Melted Metal Lipsticks! I couldn't believe my luck when I found a variety of different shades and I managed to get; Jelly and Bunny.

Too Faced is  Cruelty Free company, for more info click here
These lipsticks are also vegan friendly 🐇🌱

Packaging
Sometimes when you go to TK Maxx a lot of the products boxes have been broken or the products themselves have been swatched, which is a real shame. I was lucky because by the looks of things I got their just after they put out new stock so the boxes were in perfect condition and were exactly as you would if you bought them out of Debenhams.
too faced melted metals vegan
Texture
For me they are more like a lipgloss rather than a lipstick but they are very pigmented. They aren't sticky and are very smooth once on the lips.

Scent
These had a delicate and sweet smell which isn't overpowering. I think its quite pleasant but i don't think it will be everyones cup of tea.
Application
too faced melted metals review
How long they last?
To be honest they did last for as long as I was expecting, I think they lasted about 2 hours. I know 2 hours doesn't seem long but the main thing for me is that they didn't go drying or patchy and reapplication is a breeze.

My thoughts
Even though they didn't last too long I still love both of these lipsticks! Firstly because they are beautifully pigmented and shiny and they also have a nice scent to them too. I do think they are a little overpriced at £19.50 but I am glad I got them for an affordable price in TK Maxx.

Pros

  • Beautifully pigmented
  • Lots of different shades to choose from
  • Easy application
  • Nice scent
  • Gorgeous packaging
Con
  • Don't last long
Price and Where to Buy
Prices for this, I personally got these for £4.99 each in TK Maxx. They are also available in Debenhams for £19.50 in the link here.

NYX Cosmetics are coming to Debenhams!

Hi Lovelies, I hope you are all well. NYX Cosmetics is one of my all time favourite cruelty free and budget makeup brands and thankfully its just go easier to buy their makeup because are launching at Debenhams on September 11th - WOOHOO! To celebrate their new arrival to the store they also have a new and exclusive contour intuitive palette. I will be blogging about all of the products separately in the future but I will give you an idea below on my thoughts on the above products.

NYX Cosmetics is Cruelty Free, more info on Peta here   🐇

I was kindly sent a variety of NYX Cosmetics products to try to see what I thought of them and me being such a big makeup fan I couldn't resist!
NYX HAUL
Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette : £16 - Highlighters are so very popular at the moment and I cannot complain because I have a fair few of them myself. This palette has seven velvety smooth highlighter inside and each one had some serious levels of illumination! I can't wait to try this palette out some more and try out some more different looks too.
NYX lipsticks swatches
Variety of liquid lipsticks and Gloss prices from £6 each - I got a few different lip products to try, some of which I have tried before and loved with some new that I haven't tried too. I thought it would be more fair to do a post separately on them since they are different products. I will say this though, they all look fab!
NYX ultimate shadow palette
Ultimate Shadow Palette - Cool Neutrals : £16 - I love a good eyeshadow palette and this palette looks very promising! I have swatched this palette and have used this palette for a few makeup looks and it has performed very well so far.
nyx pore filler
Pore Filler Primer : £11 - I love a good primer as they keep makeup on longer and also give a good base for makeup too. I currently love my Kat Von D primer but I will be using this in-between to see how it goes. I have used this a couple of times now and it works well and feels like velvet when you put it on the skin.

For more info on the upcoming launch of NYX Cosmetics check out the website I will posting below, it has info on the brand and also on the exclusive Debenhams NYX palette.

Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation & Serum | Review

kat von d lock foundation review
I have been a big fan of Kat Von D for a fair few number of years now, even well before she had a makeup line back when she was on LA Ink. When her makeup line came out in America I was thrilled and was sooo tempted to try the makeup but they did not deliver to the UK at that time which was a little disappointing but I always held hope that it would eventually land in the UK and thankfully it did when Debenhams announced they were going to stock Kat Von D!

Kat Von D Beauty is Cruelty Free with plenty of vegan options, more info on Peta here 🐇

When they made a Kat Von D counter in Debenhams in Glasgow, I just couldn't wait to see the makeup counter! The counter itself was very easy to find as it is designed beautifully with a gothic twist with lots of mirrors and counters showing a variety of different makeup they have to offer from lipsticks to makeup brushes.
kat von d foundation and primer review
Packaging
Beautiful. It is just perfectly designed and I think it compliments Kat Von D as its designed with tattoo design writing on the box and also on the bottles of the primer and the foundation too. The box is very thick so if you decided to keep the box "like myself" then it would last a long time if taken care off. The bottles also feature an airless chamber which prevents contamination and keeps the foundation fresh. I love how the bottles look like glass and the pumps are covered with mini covers which look like royal seals.  The seals on the bottles can be taken off simply and put back on again after each use.

Texture
The Hydrating Primer
The primer is milky white in colour and it comes out of the bottle with a pump action. The primer itself is very light as its water based meaning its very easy to apply onto the skin. It has a nice feel to it and it has a silky matte finish.

The Foundation
This was much thicker in texture than the primer but it came out the same was as the primer, it comes out with a pump action and even though it is thicker it still has a silky feel to it.
kat von d foundation and serum review uk
Application
The Hydrating Primer
I used 2 pumps which gave me about a peas size amount each time and I applied it to my skin with my fingers and massaged into my skin like I do with my usual facial moisturisers. Once applied to the skin it took only a few minutes for it to dry ready for the foundation. The primer which is water based has high-tech polymers which minimise pores and give the skin a smoother finish for the foundation.

The Foundation
I am always a bit hesitant using my premium products as I don't like using them too much because of the price so I was hoping application with this foundation would be ok and thankfully I only needed 2 pumps of the foundation to give my face a full coverage finish. I applied the foundation with my trusty and most favourite makeup sponge ((Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge)) which help put this foundation on effortlessly. I love the way this foundation makes my skin look dewy with a subtle glow, wish I bought this foundation so much sooner!

Scent
The Hydrating Primer
This has a delicate scent which I can't put my finger on what it is is but it does smell lovely and is not over powering, its delicate and matches perfectly with the foundation.

The foundation
Thankfully this had no scent at all. I am not a fan on foundations with too much of a scent.
kat von d foundation light 44 cool review
Do they last though?
I can honestly say that the combination really impressed me so much! I went to wedding last month and the wedding was a whole day event and my makeup stayed in place.... even with me dancing and the weather being very hot. I took it off when I got home after the wedding and I can honestly say it looked pretty much the same as it did when I left earlier that day. I was kinda reluctant to take it off because my makeup was still slaying but you know skincare is very important so I had to take it off "boo".
Kat Von D Foundation and Primer swatches

Pros

  • Medium to heavy coverage : For me personally I like a heavier foundation and find this one the best one I have tried so far.
  • Easy to apply: Even though this is a heavier foundation it applied like cream and blended pretty quickly, which is fab!
  • Dewy, Matte finish: I just love the finish, it makes my complexion look smooth and a nice glow to it too.
  • Sublime packaging: I am one of those people who just love the packaging on products just as much as the products and these ones win hands down.
  • Long lasting: The combination of the primer and the foundation is just perfect, they defiantly compliment each other to help the foundation last all day.
  • Primer works well with foundation and on its own: Even on no makeup days this primer feels amazing on the skin, it smoothes my skin and feels lovely.

Cons

  • Can feel heavy: On a normal day it feels fine but on those warmer days it can feel a little heavy but nothing too much just something I thought I should mention.
  • Expensive: I know they aren't the most expensive on the market but for me I will be using them for special occasions and weekends haha.
Price and Where to Buy
Kat Von D - 'Lock-It" Hydrating Primer // £24
Kat Von D - 'Lock-It" Liquid Foundation 30ml // £27

Both on sale on the Debenhams Website and also in some Debenhams round the country.

 The Cream Eyeshadow 313 - £8.95
I can honestly say I was never a fan of cream eyeshadows until I tried this one! This one is so damn versatile, it can be used on the eyelids or even on the cheekbones as a quick fix highlighter! This cream eyeshadow was shortlisted in the Sunday times style beauty awards 2017 and I can honestly see why because it so shimmery and long lasting. I applied this with my finger as it was easier to do than my eyeshadow brushes, it didn't need any primer or anything because it was pigmented enough as it was which is a good thing.

3INA Eyeshadow
The Highlighter 201 ( £10.95 )
This highlighter has been so popular that it was sold out for months and only recently has come back in stock, I feel really lucky that they actually sent me this. This highlighter gives a flashbulb glow with lots of shimmer and glow, I love how golden this looks on my cheek bones! I also love to use this on my arches of my brows and my cupids bow.
3INA Highligher
 The Long Wear Lipstick 500 ( £7.95 )
This lipstick is one of 14 shades and I am so glad they sent me a red lipstick because red has to be my number one favourite lipstick shade. These lipsticks make up to 8% of 3INA's sales and I can see why and I will explain why. I have used this lipstick 3 times so far ( miracle for me because I'm usually changing lipsticks more haha) and honestly it's so easy to apply with the applicator! it gets into all the grooves of the lips perfectly and the pigmentation is just WOW! Its vibrant shade which is surely going to stand out in the crowd.

NYX Cosmetics Glitter and Primer | Review

Hi Lovelies, I hope you are all well?
As many of my readers might remember I went to wedding recently and I wanted a look that I don't always go for but I have always wanted to try out and that is something  sparkly and glittery * UNICORN VIBES" of course. Glitter shadows are something I haven't tried out since the Barry M loose pot shadows I used to have when I was 19 and that was a fair few years ago now to say to least and to think back on it, they weren't my favourite because they had so much darn fallout! For the wedding I wanted something that would sparkle perfectly but also a product to keep the look in place and that is why I got this combo from NYX Cosmetics at my local NYX counter in Silverburn, Glasgow.

NYX Cosmetics is Cruelty Free, more info on Peta here   🐇

I first heard of NYX Cosmetics when I watched the first season of RuPauls Drag Race in which NYX Cosmetics was the main cosmetic used on that season. I have tried a fair few products since I heard of them and I have tried a variety of different products and pretty much love most of them but I wanted to give the glitter primer and glitter a whirl, to see how well they worked.
NYX Cosmetics Glitter primer review
The Glitter Primer + Glitter
This comes in a very nice chrome box and the product itself comes in a tube the primer comes in is also chrome. The nozzle is similar to other skincare products such as eye creams in which you squeeze to get the desired amount of product you want to use.

For each eye I used a squeeze amount of each eye and the texture was rather nice to say the least! It is very smooth, like a combination of a deep moisturiser and foundation. I applied this with my fingers as I found it much easier for me to do and applying the shadow by putting small amounts on my eyeshadow brush as a time then dabbing it onto eyelids till you get the desired look you want. I did it about 3 times to get a bold glitter shadow look.

Using these products was so much easier and cleaner than I was expecting and did not have as much  fallout as I was expecting. I really wish I bought more glitters because I am wanting to wear more glitter shadows now because they look amazing!
...
NYX Cosmetics glitter primer review
I was extremely impressed with how long the combination of these products lasted! I put these on in the early afternoon and was at the wedding till well past midnight and my makeup still looked perfect and in place even though it was a very hot day that day and the fact I was dancing too. I will be posting about the wedding in the near future so keep a look out for that.

Removing the glitter shadow was so much easier than I expected too and it came off with my usual makeup remover which is miccelar water. I had a little bit of sparkle on my face the next day but nothing major comparing to what I was expecting.
nyx cosmetics glitter and primer
My Thoughts
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I am so glad I bought both of these products and I will 100% buy them again in the future. Its my birthday in a few days time so I will be getting more of the glitters to create another amazing eye makeup look. I love how long this lasts and the selection of glitters they have in the collection too.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves glitter or for anyone who wants to try something out thats different from their usual routine. I love the fact that you can use both products on your eyelids and also on your body too! I can't wait to give that a try!!
NYX Cosmetics glitter
💘💕 PIN ME 💘💕

Price and Where to buy?
You can get both of these products at a NYX counter which is at some boots and you can also get them online in the boots online shop and also the NYX Cosmetics online shop too. The primer costs £8 and the glitters cost £5.50 each, so yes a little on the expensive side but they work which is the main thing for me.

Do you like glittery makeup?

Fair Squared Fair Trade Skincare | Review

Hi Lovelies, I hope you are all well?
Skincare is a very important part of my daily routine so I was super happy when Fair Squared sent me these 2 amazing products "Rich Body Lotion in Coconut" and "Coconut Body Scrub" and I was very eager to give them a try because I absolutely love the smell of coconut.

Fair Squared is a fair trade company that sell a variety of skincare, haircare and even condoms! All of their products are cruelty free and vegan. One of the things I love about this brand is that they tell you where about the fair trade products are from with lots of interesting and worth knowing information.
Fair Squared Products are
  • Fair Trade Natural Cosmetics ( Fairly Produced Ingredients)
  • Nature ( Naturally Produced)
  • Vegan ( No Animal Products)
  • Halal ( No Alcohol)
  • Cruelty Free ( No Animal Testing)

Coconut Body Lotion
The packaging on this is very nice and simple and has a very handy pump top which makes it easy to get the moisturiser out of the bottle, each pump gives a decent amount of product and I used about 3 pumps to cover all the areas I needed and it soaked into my skin relatively quickly without any greasiness. The texture was very smooth and is very similar consistency to palmers coconut body lotion which is smooth and silky too, it helped my skin feel softer after a week of using it and it reduced how dry some parts of my skin were.

Application was simple enough too do with its simple pump action top and as I said above just 3 pumps was enough. The scent wasn't overpowering as a matter of fact it was the opposite of a lot of moisturisers I have tried before it has a delicate scent of coconut which is fab as sometimes overpowering scents can be a put off.

The fair trade ingredients in this are fair trade coconut oil from Sri Lanka and also fair trade olive oil from Palestine.
Coconut Body Scrub
It has been ages since I had tried a body scrub before so trying this was such great fun! This is an exfoliator with coconut flakes that helps to gently buff away any dry skin and at the same time moisturise the skin. The packaging is the same as the above but it a jar form, the lid is simple to remove with a screw top and the texture is very unique il give it that! It kinda reminds me of fruit compote with all the bits inside of this.

I applied this by scooping bits up at a time to parts of my body that get the driest which tends to be my elbows, knees and also behind my neck, one decent size scoop was enough for all of those areas and after applying and removing in the shower it did make a difference and my driest areas aren't as dry as they once were, I best remind myself to do this at least once a week haha. As above this had a very nice delicate coconut scent and has the same fair trade ingredients as above.

Price and Where to Buy?
At the moment Fair Squared is only available online at Fair2.me which can be listed here.

Makeup Revolution Rainbow Highlighter | Review

Hi Flamingos, I hope you are all well?
Highlighters are a must have for me when I wear makeup because I just love how bright they make my complexion. I have tried a fair few now over the years from budget to premium and to be honest most work wonderfully especially if you use it with a makeup setting spray. I think I have about 5 highlighters in my makeup collection and I knew it was time to get another so went to Superdrug to see if any of the affordable highlighters caught my eye and OMG the choices was so extensive! I wanted them all but I ended up going for this Rainbow Highlighter from Makeup Revolution and it cost me an affordable £4.

Makeup revolution sell  a vast selection of makeup and are a budget beauty brand with very affordable makeup products such as makeup, brushes etc. I discovered this brand not so long after when it released a few years back and since then they have brought out so many different products and this is a newish product and its inspired by the rainbow and of course our obsession with highlighters at the moment.
makeup revolution rainbow highlighter
 Packaging
Its simple but perfect in my opinion, it has a chrome effect border and also chrome effect writing on it too. It wasn't so easy to take a picture of because of the chrome but it looks amazing in real life. Its very light and feels good compared to its price but on the plus size the pan is full of product which is brilliant, no areas missed out.

Texture
I am not sure if I like the texture of this or not but at first when I put it on my hands it did feel rather chalky but it felt so much softer and more vibrant when applied to the skin.

Application
I love how easily this went onto my skin!! It took very little effort for me to get this on my cheek bones evenly without much fallout at all. I wore this to the wedding last weekend and I couldn't stop applying it because it looks GORGEOUS! Once its on the skin you can see all the lovely pastel shades of the rainbow with a iridescent glow, I would go as far to say it made me feel like a mermaid, I mean really it is a magical product.
makeup revolution rainbow highlighter review
Scent
Thankfully this had barely a scent to it at all which is brilliant because I am not a fan of makeup if it has too much of a fragrance as it puts me right off wearing it.

Does it last?
Well it sure does if you apply a makeup setting spray which I do everyday now in the summer over wise my makeup wouldn't last long at all.

My Thoughts
I love everything about this product and there isn't anything I can falter about it to be honest, I love it so much that if this ever runs out I would defiantly consider buying this again because it is a lovely show stopping highlighter for a bargain price.

(omg so sparkly isn't it)
Price and Where to Buy
This is a very affordable and purse friendly price of £4 and is available at superdrug stores and online too at their website and also TAM Beauty too.

Lush Metamorphosis | Review

Hi Lovelies, I hope you are all well?
For me bath times are more of a hobby rather than to get clean because me and my partner just love lush baths and I have explained why in a recent post. I have tried many different bath products over the years and I think it is the novelty of it that makes me buy them and the reason I say that is because I love watching them create different effects, colours and smells in my bath.

I recently got myself a mini haul of bath products I haven't tried before and they are 'Yellow Submarine' and the one this post is about it 'Metamorphosis' and they are both quirky and nice to look at bath bombs so lets see how they got on shall we?

lush metamorphosis bath bomb
This is a very unique looking bath bomb and it totally reminds me of the death star wars, anyone else thing it does? I had some very big expectations of Metamorphosis because it looks very different from the usual bath products from lush and it had a lovely scent too, so as you can guess I was super duper excited to give this a whirl.

Key Ingredients
Black Pepper Oil
Cinnamon Leaf Oil
Myrrh Resinoid

lush metamorphosis bath bomb
I was very keen to fill my bath up with warm water because I was so excited to finally put this in my bath because I was hoping it would be super colourful inside giving a lovely display but sadly for me personally it was a bit of a let down, if you click on my youtube video below you will understand why because to be honest it doesn't look nice at all and not only that it makes such a big mess of the bath after you finished with it too and its not exactly the easiest to clean off either unfortunately.

I was excited to try it but wow it surprised me at how disappointing it was for me and my partner, it wasn't as fragrant as we were expecting and the display wasn't what we were expecting either so this has to be our most disappointing product we have tried so far. I don't like being negative at all but you know I like to be honest with you all because thats me I like to be honest and I would rather know if someone felt the same way about a product that wasn't up to scratch.

Even though this looked amazing, I can't deny that, I can't see myself buying this again especially as it cost an eye watering £4.25. I am looking forward to trying more lush products in the future though.

Lush or Leave?
sadly it has to be leave

Mini Lush Haul and Why I love baths with my Boyfriend

Hi Lovelies, I hope you are all doing well?
I know it hasn't been long since my last Lush blog post but you know sometimes I can't help myself and visit the shop randomly too. I defiantly don't think me and my boyfriend are the only ones who get drawn into the shop by walking near it and all of a sudden you smell a sea of beautiful fragrances and we can't resit to go inside to see whats new inside the shop. We were very lucky because this time they were new products we haven't tried before but I have seen them on them online on the lush website but never in-store before.

mini lush haul and why I love baths with my boyfriend
What we bought
Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb ( £3.95) Vegan
For anyone who likes The Beatles this will 100% remind you of the song and the movie yellow submarine ( it has been in my head for a few days now LOL) If you love quirky designed bath products that are different from the usual circular shape then this one is defiantly worth a try. It is mostly bright yellow with a little bit of pink detailing, the scent is very citrusy with Brazilian Orange Oil and Lemongrass Oil.

Metamorphosis Bath Bomb ( £4.25) Kitchen Exclusive // Vegan
This one totally reminds me of the Death Star in the star wars movies does it make you think the same? We totally loved this when we first seen it and it is the one we are going to be trying first. It is a granite shade with lots of sparkles and has a spicy scent with key ingredients of Black Pepper Oil, Cinnamon Leaf Oil and Myrrh.

We don't share a bath very often, maybe once every week or every two weeks its one of those things that depends on how much time we have in the evenings or if he is working or not. With all my Lush products I have tried almost always shared them with my boyfriend because he enjoys them just as much as I do and that has benefits because it makes bath times twice as fun.

  • Sharing time together
  • Time to talk
  • Helps us sleep
  • Relaxing together

Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub | Review

Hi Lovelies, I hope you are all well?
In the spring and summer I like to take a little extra care with my skincare because my skin gets quite dry and irritated if I don't take extra care of it, so I try my hardest to keep on top of it and with my lips I tend to wear a balm when needs be and also a lip scrub before lipstick or whenever my lips feel dry and I have loved lip scrubs before including Lush's bubblegum lip scrub which tastes amazing and leaves my lips feel so blooming smooth and moisturised.

Lush has a variety of different lip scrubs;  Popcorn, Bubblegum, Honey and the one I got in my recent haul from lush is called Mint Julips. Lip scrubs have a variety of different benefits and they are good for exfoliating dry and chapped lips, giving lips an even texture. They cost £5.75 which I think is pretty amazing because I still have mine which I bought at Easter last year and its still going strong and works wonderfully.

The packaging on the lip scrubs is all the same with the glass and hard plastic top and the only variation that is on holiday editions such as Christmas, Valentine's Day etc can have a different colour of label just like Kiss lip scrub which is a pink label rather than the lush label.

Ingredients
Caster Sugar
Caster sugar is a very fine sugar and dissolves very quickly on the lips, its perfect as a gentle scrub to remove dead cells and brilliant at moisturising lips.
Organic Jojoba Oil
This is a liquid wax which comes from cold pressing seeds from jojoba scrub, the benefits of this is hydrating the skin.
Vanilla Extract
This is one of the scents of the lip scrub and we all know how lovely vanilla can smell in cakes, perfumes and other makeup products. Vanilla is one of the most expensive spices after saffron.
Tagetes Oil
This is from the stems of a plant called the mexican marigold (also known as T.minta) This is a natural preservatives that preserves cosmetics, perfumes and also flavouring foods too.
Peppermint Oil
Has many benefits and has been used for 10,000 years but not only that it has a beautiful smell which is very refreshing.
Limonene
This is colourless or a pale yellow and helps uplift fragrances to give them that extra smelling power that we all love from lush.

How to use
Put a generous amount on fingers tips and apply to the lips, I then like the pucker my lips together so my lips are covered in the lip scrub and that way I can feel the caster sugar actually exfoliate my lips. I usually do that for about a minute and either just lick it off (it tastes lovely!) or I just wipe it off with a wipe and it comes off very easily.

Once the lip scrub is off lips are moisturised and exfoliated and you can leave them be or it can be the perfect base for a balm, gloss or a lipstick too.

My thoughts
I love the minty freshness of this lip scrub and it also has a subtle chocolate taste too which is very pleasant and reminds me of after 8s which reminds me I need to get some more snacks I am quite peckish ahah!! Even though this is amazing and will continue to use this as it is the bees knees at moisturising and exfoliating, the bubblegum one is still firmly my favourite.

Dr Paw Paw Original Balm | Review

Hi Lovelies, I hope everyone is well!
My blogging schedule is all over the place at the moment and I have to apologise for that but I have been so busy over the past few weeks; firstly we are preparing for Ramadan which is less than a week away and also preparing for a big family wedding which is in July, so yes a bit of hectic schedule  but here i am now and fingers crossed will be more often to share more blog posts.

Dr Paw Paw is a brand I have been wanting to try for a while now because so many people have been saying that this balm is brilliant and I wanted to see if that claim was true, so it was only a matter of time before I got this for myself to try and see if all the talk was true. The brand is British and is made from a variety of natural ingredients to make this multi purpose balm.
The balm has a gorgeous bright yellow packaging and comes in a travel friendly size of 25ml so its very handy to carry with you in your bag. It has very few ingredients in this which is quite nice to see because sometimes you see beauty products and the ingredients list is massive!
Key Ingredients
Aloe Barbadenis Leaf Juice
Aloe vera contains enzymes, antioxidant vitamins,  minerals and four fatty acids. The benefits it has for skin are extraordinary and is very good at retaining moisture to skin, lips and hair. Its just one of those things that have various benefits. I also love to use aloe vera as a toner because its very soothing on the skin.
Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil
We all know the many benefits of olive oil as food but its also something that is very good for our skin and hair too. It contains vitamin E which helps restore skins softness and has anti ageing benefits  as it doesn't clog the pores and helps get rid of the dead blood cells which can make skin more glowing and radiant.
Carica Papaya
We all know that papaya is a nutrient dense fruit with high vitamin C content but did we all know it has amazing benefits for the skin too? Well its very good at cleansing skin, exfoliating skin and is supposedly ok for sensitive skin ( best to do a skin patch test first though)

Uses
This balm is mainly marketed as a lip balm but it also has so many other uses too  and I have tried a few of them to put them to the test to see how they all faired out.
Lips
If you have dry lips or want softer lips then this balm is perfect for them jobs. I like to use it before I put a lipstick on because it creates a smoother base for the lipstick to sit on and in turn making my lipstick last so much longer.
Skin irritations and sunburn
This balm is know for it's healing properties so its very good for helping with these. I have been out and forgot sun tan lotion and my neck was a little red and this was great for soothing my skin ( don't forget to wear sun protection everyone! Its very important!)
Hair/Brow Conditioning treatment
I am not sure on how well this will work because the tube is quite small but its great for keeping stray hairs in my hairstyles still and its also good at keeping my brows in shape all day long! it will save me a fortune in the long run because brow products seem to cost a fortune don't you think?
Nappy Cream
Because this product is so natural its ideal to use if you prefer natural products. Its handy size is perfect for carrying around in bags too.
dr paw paw orignal balm review
My Thoughts
The first thing I noticed when I opened this was how thick the cream was (pic above of balm) Once it was in my hands it melted a little bit and was so much easier to work with and a little bit went a long way too. It has no particular scent at all which kinda shocked me a little bit because of the ingredients I was thinking it might smell a little tropical but with that being said its great its fragrance free, that way it doesn't interfere with the perfumes and moisturisers I like to wear.

I have used this product for a fair number of uses because it is a multi use balm I really want to see how multi use this product could be.
Caesarean scar
I have 3 children and with each child I have a caesarean and my scar has gotten a little thicker each time and sometimes during the warmer months especially my scar can be quite itchy and when it does it gets annoying, so I decided to give this a try and its worked wonders for me keeping it soothed and also very moisturised too.
Callus from lifting weights
My boyfriend is a personal trainer and also a student wrestler so he lifts a lot of weights to help him keep him at the body goals he wants and also to keep him strong, the slight problem he has is the hard skin on his hands which is caused by the olympic bar. I have been putting this on his hands everyday since I bought this 2 weeks ago and its helped his skin quite drastically on his hands, not that its gone but that they are so much smoother which is a brilliant result in itself.

I this is a brilliant product and for me is now a skincare staple, its very affordable at £6.95. I have started to carry this round with me because it has many uses and you never know when you need something that works this well. Dr Paw Paw comes in original balm and tinted, they also have a bigger 200ml bottle and an all in 7 treatment styler.

Available in supedrug stores online and also on the Dr Paw Paw website. I have a link below for anyone interested in knowing more about the brand and the products

Lush Summer Haul

Hi Lovelies
It has been sooooooo long since I went to Lush and the main reason being is I have tried most products ( well over 50 products) If you want to see what Lush products I have tried over the years I have put them all in my product directory. I am hoping to actually try the Kitchen Exclusives which are only available online and in Londons Oxford Street, I am going to order them soon hopefully when I get a chance to see what I want to buy but you know I really wish they would put them around the country rather than just one Lush shop and it's not like I can go to London that easily because I am a busy mum of  3 and I live in Glasgow and London is over 400 miles aways. They are so many kitchen exclusive products I want to try BUT I really like seeing things before I buy them if you know what I mean.

 What I bought
Modfather Bubble Bar ( RRP £3.95) vegan
This bubble bar is in the fathers day collection and is shaped like a bullseye with the bright colours of blue, red and white. It has a very nice smell which is very citrusy ( Brazilian orange oil) I can't wait to try this and the main reason I bought it is because it smells lovely and you can't go wrong with a lush bath they are heavenly.

Mint Juleps Lip Scrub ( RRP £5.75) vegan
I bought this because I just loved the bubblegum lip scrub which I bought last year and that has nearly finished now so I needed a replacement. I wasn't so keen on the kiss lip scrub as the sea salt made it quite bitter so I wanted something to replace that. I had a smell of all of the lip scrubs and this one won because it has a very fresh minty smell which reminds me of after eight mints.

Kerbside Violet Solid Perfume (RRP £10.00) vegan
I finally have this! YAY! This perfume has been on my wish list for a long time and now I finally have it. Not only is this a new perfume for me it's actually the first time I have tried a solid perfume, I have only tried spray and oil perfumes before so this will be a first for me.

I am looking forward to trying all of these products and I will be writing a full review on each one of them in the very  near future so keep an eye for those posts.

Lush Over and Over Bath Bomb | Review

Hi Lovelies
Me and my partner literally just missed buying products from the Easter collection by a few days ( argh big regret) but we decided to go to lush anyway's because we love to share a bath as part of our things we do as a couple. When we got to lush we actually both realised that we have actually tried most of the bath bombs/melts apart from a small number of products and Over and Over bath bombs was one of the products we actually haven't tried before.

Over and Over cost me £4.25 and it is a combination of the average lush bath bomb and also the other half being like the lush bath melts. They are similar bath bombs to this one which is a combination product too and that is called Roller. Anyway's going back to Over and Over, it's a beautiful bath product which is a bright orange and yellow shade, from the first smell of this product it had a smell like nature which kinda reminded me of the forest breeze.

First Impressions
As soon as my partner seen it in Lush he thought it looked like a Pokemon ball which made me laugh so much but to be honest he is right in a way it does look like one in a certain way. I like its in 2 sections as one side is covered the bath melt and the other side is the usual lush bath bomb design we all come to love.

Fragrance
As I said above it has a very natural nature smell and I looked on the lush website and the for key ingredients are as follows; Fair trade organic cocoa butter, Lime oil, Fennel oil and Orris oil. So you can see by the ingredients they are very earthy.
lush over and over
Ingredients
vegan
sodium bicarbonate, Citric acid, fair trade organic cocoa butter, perfume, lime oil, fennel oil, cypress oil, orris oil, cream of tartar, sodium laureth sulfate, lauryl betaine, PEG-6 caprylic / capric glycerides & PEG-60 almond glycerides, butylphenyl methylpropional, citral, limonene, linalool, tangerine lustre colour 45410, colour 47005.

Over and Over in the Bath
As with any bath product I tend to put them in running water ( usually makes products look so much better, especially if they are very colourful or have glitter). As soon  as this hit the water it started to froth all over the bath, honestly people it was moving round the bath like it had a mind of its own! It was frothing just yellow with little bits of orange oil for a while ( gotta admit I was disappointed for a moment) UNTIL the centre appeared which was a gorgeous bright pit and both of the colours started to fit round the bath and honestly it was a lovely surprise. I took a photo of it below and it did look better than this but we both couldn't wait to get in the bath.

The scent was just HEAVEN, one the over and over hit the water you could smell the fennel and lime mostly and they were just the perfect combination you could think of. Once we both got into the bath the whole bath eventually went into a bright orange shade and the aromas of over and over were very relaxing, we were both pleasantly surprised by the power and effect of this bath product; we both didn't want to get out of the bath because it was very relaxing and also very moisturising too.

My Thoughts
As you can tell by what I wrote above you can see me and my partner just loved this bath product and kinda wish it was an all year round product. Its quite different to other lush products I have tried with a very unique but very nice scent.
