Lush Satsuma and knot wrap impressions

Hi Flamingos
I have tried many different Lush products over the years that I am quite surprised that I have never actually tried a gift set, I have only ever bought bath bombs, skincare or haircare products individually. I have always been tempted to get a gift set but picking wasn't easy because they have so many to choose from and they are all decorated beautifully. I only decided to buy this and pip in the boxing day sale because they were half price and I liked the designs of each of them.

Gift sets in Lush come in various sizes and various prices too. Prices start at a reasonable £8.95 all the way up to £145 which includes lots of many different lush products.
First Impressions
I just love the way that this gift set was wrapped, its actually nice to see a different way of wrapping rather than the traditional way of paper and sellotape which can be a little wasteful whereas a wrap can be used over and over again.
Satsuma was nicely put in a satsuma themed wrap and tied to perfection, opening it was simple and wasn't a struggle at all. Inside was satsuma which had a little paper label on it with all the information  and ingredients on for this particular bath bomb.

The Knot Wrap
I have seen lots of different uses for the knot wrap online and is one of the reasons why I wanted to buy this because I wanted to use it again in future for another task. On the Lush website it says it can be used for these things
  • Wrap another gift - This can be used over and over again without the mess of paper and always looks neat ( I am absolutely rubbish at wrapping presents trust me)
  • Use as a scarf - like Marty in Grease, its ages since I wore a scarf like this.
  • Make a drawstring bag - I have no idea how but they are tutorials on this online
  • Headband - This is the main reason I want the knot wraps, I like having retro hairstyles and head bands can help complete the look.
  • Tea towel - This would be a funky looking tea towel, I am actually tempted to get more for this purpose seeing since they are 100% organic cotton.
My Thoughts on Satsuma
I love the way it actually looked like a satsuma even though it was more like an oranges size, it even had the green bit on top and a yellow looking label on the size and  also the dimples to give it that extra orangey effect. The smell of citrus was very strong and you could smell it through the knot wrap even before opening it.

When I put it in the bath it started to dissolve into a lovely array of bright orange and banana yellow, the effect kinda reminded of a warming sunset. The smell was not as strong as me and my partner expected but more of a delicate orange smell. This bath bomb is a mix of citrus juice and Sicilian Mandarin oil.

It wasn't the most moisturising bath product I have tried from Lush and I continued with my skincare regime after my bath.

Even though satsuma was a decent bath bomb it wasn't one of my favourites and I probably wouldn't buy it again, I am just happy that it included a knot wrap and I can reuse it for a few things. I have already wore the knot wrap as a headband and it looks pretty amazing.
