Jolly January: Updates and Plans

Hi Flamingos 
I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and New Year! I sure did, I visited my mum and family who live 100 miles away so it was great to see everyone after not seeing them for a while. We had a couple of parties and my kids enjoyed seeing their grandparents and the rest of the family. I was super happy to see my mum too because she's like my best friend 💜

Anyway its normal routines for us all now, I'm now back home in Glasgow and the kids are back at school/nursery and my blogging routine is back to what it used to be. I am missing the Christmas holidays already. I feel they went far too quickly, don't you think?

I have a few goals for the year ahead but I also have some to do for this month too so you know I think its good to have little set goals for the month and its possible that I will update each post more than once as we all know months can change.

  • My mum got a puppy and he's called 'Bertie' he is an Airedale Terrier and he is just adorable
  • I started drawing again, I love art so I bought myself some drawing supplies and started to doodle every now and again.

Things Happening this month
  • I am back at the gym after a couple of months of not going. I wasn't looking forward to it to begin with but I am starting to enjoy it more now.
  • It is my daughters 5th birthday, honestly I don't know where the time has gone!
  • My vintage dressing table is coming, I am so excited to show you it.
  • Myself and my partner are going for a belated anniversary meal (been together for 6 years now) we don't know where yet but we are looking.
  •  I will also be filming more youtube videos for my youtube channel, if you haven't subscribed yet its on the right hand sidebar

October Beauty Favourites

Hi Lovelies 
Its that time of the month again when I show you all my monthly beauty favourites! This month I have made another youtube video to go along with it yet again 'WOOHOO" . October started out really warm and by the end of the month it went really cold. I am sure autumn lasts a day or two and winter on the other hand lasts like the rest of the year.

I honestly normally struggle on what to say is my monthly beauty favourites because I usually use a vast range of products I actually like so it can take me a while to actually decide which ones I like. Out of all the months this year this one had to be the easiest out of all the months to actually choose what I actually loved in October, I tended to use these products the most this month.

October Favourites 
  • Urban Decay Naked Foundation : I am so forgetful, I actually had this as a beauty favourite in September too. O well, it just goes to show how much I actually love this foundation. I just love how weightless this is on the skin and it also applies like a dream too. Combined with the urban decay all nighter spray it lasts all day.
  • Nyx Cosmetics Tame & Frame Pomade: I have to say I am no expert when trying to get a decent arch in my brows but this pomade makes it so much easier and to get a shape that I actually liked and matches my style.
  • Lush Bubble Gum Lip scrub: Every time before I put a lipstick on I always apply a lip balm or scrub before hand because it leaves lips feeling softer and lipstick applies so much better that way.
  • Soap and Glory Heal Genius: This honestly smells lovely, like orange and lemons. I use this everyday (whenever I remember) and my feet are a lot smoother then they used to be.
  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Cleanser: Honestly before this I had never used a cleanser before so trying this was different. It feels very refreshing on the skin with a gorgeous tea tree scent. It comes out like a foam and honestly a little bit goes a long way.

Fitness Journal Week Three

Hi Lovelies
I can't believe I am on week three of my fitness journal, I am super proud of myself for keeping it up and doing better every week. I think I did well for the goals I set myself in my week twos fitness journal post and hopefully this trend will continue with in the future too. 

Like I said last week I went on the scales to see where I am and from the last time I checked I lost 1 pound I know its nothing major but its still something. The scales will be hidden now until after New Year as to me numbers on a scale mean nothing. As you can tell by my top photo my weight goes to my thighs, butt and arms. I am fine with that I just want to tone my body up more and would be happy to stay the same clothes size but just toning my body up. My waist is small and always has been but I am very happy with the way it looks.

Food Diary 
Ive had some days when I ate some junk food but most of the days I ate more healthy choices but the main thing I am learning is moderation. I have not eaten chocolate for 3 weeks now and usually sub it for a cereal bar, but I will eat chocolate once a month as a treat because I just love chocolate.

I am also using nutribuddy as a protein snack for when I come back from the gym ( I shall write more about it in a future blog post) I have tried it with milk and water and think it tastes best with water. 

Fitness Diary 
I have went to the gym 4 days this week which is fab and most days I have hit my target of 10,000 steps! I did no weights this week as I have a small problem I need checking out with the doctors so I am waiting for the outcome of that. Instead of the weights I did cardio and burnt around 200 calories.

I know 1 pound weight loss isn't massive but it doesn't mean I don't work hard at fitness, when I am at the gym I put 100% in and make sure I sweat. I am getting better at cardio then I was nearly a month ago and to me thats an achievement in itself.

Goals for this week

  • Keep going and keep motivated
  • Eat less junk and try keep it to one day of the week
  • go to the gym at least 3 times
  • do 10,000 steps daily
